LAKE TURKANA WIND POWER PROJECT
F O R R E S T G R O U P h a s contributed, on behalf of VESTAS, to the construction of the 365 wind turbines of the Turkana wind farm, the largest in Africa. In 2017, it participated in building the cabins for t r a n s f o r m a t i o n s t a t i o n s (SIEMENS) and the HV line to Nairobi (ISOLUX).

KINSHASA & KONGO CENTRAL PROVINCES
Forrest Group is rehabilitating Kulumba Avenue for the Highways and Drainage Office (OVD) in Kinshasa and is modernising the Matadi road linking the Buima roundabout to Tasa-di-Tumba Avenue.

MANONO / KATUBA
The GROUP is pre-financing and bui ld ing for the SNEL a photovoltaic power station at Manono. The project also includes the construction MV/LV electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure at Manono and at Katuba (Lubumbashi).
SANGA POWER STATION
With financing from the group, t h e E n e r g y D i v i s i o n i s rehabilitating for the SNEL, the hydroelectric power station of Sanga, on the Inkisi river. This will be connected to the SNEL's national network, which for the past 15 years was no longer the case. This is a new source of electricity.
FRIPT: INGA - KOLWEZI
The Energy Division is managing the FRIPT project. This includes t h e r e h a b i l i t a t i o n o f production, transmission and distribution infrastructure on the Inga-Kolwezi line. Major work is being performed at Inga (G27 & G28), on the HV lines and conversion stations (photo opposite).
ROTATING MACHINES
T h e E n e r g y D i v i s i o n i s specialised in the rehabilitation and the return to service of hydroelectric power plants. In 2016 and in 2017, rehabilitation work was or is being carried out on the turbines of the Inga 2, Koni, Nseke and Bendera power plants.
SOLAR PUBLIC LIGHTING
In the DRC, FORREST GROUP is the business representative of the French company SUNNA DESIGN, the designer of innovative solutions in the field of solar public lighting. The streetlights have an autonomy of 12 hrs and are guaranteed for 3 years.

LUALABA PROVINCE
In Kolwezi, FORREST GROUP is carrying out Civil Engineering work for the new metallurgical plant of KCC and for the entrance to the Kamoa (Ivanhoe) mine. Rehabilitation of the Diur Stadium and erosion protection work in Kolwezi have started for the Province.
TANGANYIKA PROVINCE
The group is building a new road bridge at Nyemba, a hundred kilometres west of Kalemie. It will open up the back-country. It is a 130-metre long by 9-metre wide bridge, similar to that built in 2015 over the Lukuga, at Kalemie.
HAUT-KATANGA PROVINCE
The group is building settling ponds and slabs of concrete for the MMG mining company at K i n s e v e r e , a n d m a s s i v e concrete reinforcements for the extension of an electrolysis factory at Kipoi, for Tiger Resources
KINSHASA & NORTH KIVU PROVINCES
At Kinshasa, the group is c a r r y i n g o u t v a r i o u s infrastructure works for the Bralima (Heineken) brewery including a new entrance to the plant, storage spaces at the Beach, etc. At Goma, the group is carrying out the concrete work of the brewery wharf.

HAUT-KATANGA PROVINCE
In Lubumbash i , FORREST GROUP is carrying out three large rehabilitation building projects: the Sendwe hospital (10,200 m² - photo opposite), the headquarters of the BCDC bank (7,200 m²) and the Head Office of Gécamines (2,600 m²).
KINSHASA
In 2017, the group will complete the structural work for the Arcades building (R+6 - photo opposite). The construction of Engen service stations and BCDC agencies is continuing. In 2016, the group completed the structural work for the Bénie-la-Française building (R+7).

FORREST GROUP produces most of the materials needed for its project sites. These comply with superior quality standards, in accordance with those in force within the European Union. At Lubumbashi and Ko lwez i , the g roup operates its own quarries. The high quality of its sand and gravels, the highest in the DRC, is recognised by institutions and international companies, which make them the benchmark aggregates for their project sites in the country.
The group offers its customers expertise of several decades in the f i e l d o f m e t a l manufacture (beams, self-supporting cladding sheets, etc.). The group also produces aluminium frames using an Italian assembly line.
The group produces construct ion blocks, pipes, curbs, pavings, etc. For each type of product, the group applies compressive strength standards equivalent to those in force within the European Union (SN EN 206:2013).
AGGREGATES CONCRETE METAL & ALUMINIUM
TANGANYIKA PROVINCE
The group is rehabilitating the 105 km of track between Kalemie and Nyemba. The group is also in charge of maintaining a 189 km section between Kalemie and Lulimba. Construction of the Kituku Road, a major road of Kalemie, was completed in 2016.
HAUT-KATANGA PROVINCE
The group is rehabilitating the Kilela Balanda and Revolution avenues. In the south-east, the works on the Kasumbalesa-Musoshi concrete road are under way. In the west, the group rehabilitates the Likasi-Kambove road over a 15 km section.
LUALABA PROVINCE
The group is working on several roads in the city of Kolwezi for the governorate. This is the case for Salongo, Indust r ie l le, M a m a n M u j i n g a a n d Kavavubu avenues . The Independence roundabout and the surrounding roads have been redeveloped.

CONGO ART WORKS
The George Arthur Forrest Foundation was the main partner of the Royal Museum of Central Africa and the Palais des Beaux-Arts of Brussels for the organisation of Congo Art Works, an exhibition in Belgium of popular Congolese painting.
PANZI HOSPITAL OF DOCTOR MUKWEGE
T h e F o u n d a t i o n , i n collaboration with Dr Guy-Bernard Cadière and the Saint-Pierre Clinic (Brussels), is funding the introduction of laparoscopy techniques into Panzi Hospital, where Dr Mukwege treats women who are victims of sexual violence.
EARLY CHILDHOOD & EDUCATION
The Rachel Forrest Foundation supports projects in favour of children. Schools but also orphanages, accommodation centres, etc. This is the case of Oeuvres Mamans Marguerite (photo opposite), which takes in and educates street children in Lubumbashi.
SPORT
The Foundation sponsors sports clubs including TP Mazembe, champion of the African Confederation Cup in 2016. Support is also given to amateur clubs and local organisations active in promoting sport for all.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The Foundation finances the construction of infrastructure for supplying drinking water, electricity, etc. In 2016, it installed with the support of STL, wells powered by solar panels, i n t w o w o r k i n g - c l a s s n e i g h b o u r h o o d s o f Lubumbashi.
CMC DEVELOPMENT PLAN
In 2017, work for development of the CMC is in progress. It will create a maternity unit, a n e o n a t a l u n i t a n d a hosp i ta l i sa t ion un i t . The investment is the result of an agreement between the Group, BIO-Invest and the Bank of Africa.

SIXLEGS
In 2016, Mr George A. Forrest and Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (Ulg) created the company SIXLEGS. It is the first large-scale controlled production unit of insects in Wallonia (Belgium). It specialises in raising edible insects.

G R A N D S É L E V A G E S D E KATONGOLA (GRELKA) have passed the 36,000 head of cattle mark. Grelka produces superior quality meat, because the animals are fed without any food supplement.

Our environmental policies in the metallurgical sector are the subject of a report:
STL
T h e S T L f u r n a c e w a s r e h a b i l i t a t e d b e t w e e n February and May 2016. The operation was a success. Finished in record time, it has allowed STL to produce 3,900 tonnes of cobalt. The price of cobalt increased by 50% between January 2016 and January 2017.

KOV & UNDERGROUND SERVICES
In 2017, the FORREST GROUP closed the operation of the KOV mine for KCC. In total, 60 million m3 were extracted 2010 and 2016. In 2016, the group and Murray & Roberts created Cementation Mining Co, which wil l provide underground mining services in the DCR.

The association DIALOGUES has promoted contemporary plastic arts in Africa since 1999. The association has an art gallery inside the National Museum of Lubumbashi, where it displays the works of local and international artists (opposite, Mbaya Timtoret).

ELECTRICAL WORKSHOPS
The FORREST GROUP offers electr ical repair services (alternator windings, motor windings, etc.), electrical installation work (electric cabinets , programmable c o n t r o l l e r s , e t c . ) a n d m a i n t e n a n c e , i n c l u d i n g preventive maintenance.
MECHANICAL WORKSHOPS
The group offers reconditioning services for gears and pumps. Its company, NBLIA, has all of the necessary equipment in its 6,000 m² workshop. It is the only o p e r a t o r t o o f f e r comprehensive services in the Haut Katanga.

The Group, via STI, specialises in supplying spare parts and new equipment for industrial use. The company has many customers in Central, East and West Africa. The Group is also represented in South Africa by GFI RSA.
