The origin of the APICS acronym was American Production and Inventory Control Society. Although the acronym has been maintained, the tagline has changed to drop the American designation and to reflect the broader scope of APICSs mission. What is APICSs tagline?

(a) Two of these programs lead to credentials which begin APICS Certified . Provide both the acronym and the full and complete spelled out name for the acronym for each of these two programs.

(b) One of these programs leads to a Fellow designation. Provide the acronym and the full and complete spelled out name for the acronym for this designation.

(c) One of these programs leads to an Endorsement. Provide the acronym and the full and complete spelled out name for the acronym for this endorsement.

a) The two credentialing programs which begin APICS Certified. are:

1) APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management which goes by the acronym of APICS CPIM.

2) APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional which has the acronym APICS CSCP. b) Acronym for the program that leads to a fellow designation is APICS CFPIM and the full form for it is APICS Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management.

c) Acronym for the program that leads to an Endorsement is APICS SCOR-P and the full form for it is APICS SCOR Professional Endorsement and the SCOR stands for Supply Chains Operations Research (SCOR) model.

Problem 1.3Consider CPIM. Name the five modules associated with this certification program.

e) Where can exams be taken? Im not looking for a specific location, rather, a generic description of the locations that administer the exams.

Answera) The member price for each exam is $165. APICS non member fee is $250 per exam. For outside North America fess is $325 per exam for members and $410 per exam for non members.

b) Scoring range for each exam is 265-330. A score of 300 or higher is required to pass the exam.

c) Time allowed to complete the exam is 3 hours.

d) APICS exams are computer based.e) The tests can be taken in North America (USA, Canada and Mexico) as well as outside North America.
