Regardless of its exception status, the GOLF INDUSTRY faces some huge challenges because ofits high degree ofVULNERABILITY concerning several public affairs issues. FORCE OF NAT UREhas extensively reviewed these issues, and has concluded that, in order to successfully deterthe malicious efforts of all ENVIRONMENTAL TERROR GROUPS, the GOLF INDUSTRY must IMMEDI-ATELY address the following FIFTEEN critical issues.

1. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must cease focusing on the ineffectual I.P.M. as the solution to its public af-fairs problems.

2. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must clearly provide scientific facts that explain why its chemicals are definitelyminimumrisk.

3. The GOLF IN D U S TR Y must denounce the green alternatives to pest control, the socalled biologicalnaturalorganic methods, as almost ineffective and nonexistent.

4. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must develop a fully transparent and publicly accessible database for righttoknow information concerning its chemicals.

5. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must directly and actively support litigation launched against the Ontario pro-hibition of pest control products, and cease being a mere casual observer.

6. The GOLF IN D U S TR Y must embark on a massive public relations campaign to stop the proposedscheme by environmental groups and National Democratic Party of Canada for a national prohibitionof pest control products.

7. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must explain why some of its chemicals are prohibited by other nations, butnot in Canada, and cease the WAG TH E DO G policies on irrelevant issues such as saving quintozene.

8. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must review and justify its current and extensive array of chemicals.

9. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must plan for the inevitable loss of its exception status in Ontario and Quebecin three to five years.

10. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must provide the public with scientific information supporting the idea that itsinnovative management practices may reduce the use of pest control products.

11. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must publish golf maintenance protocols and the performance standards ex-pected by its playing customers.

12. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must scientifically define and publically discredit the misleading term O R GA N ICG OLF COU R S E, and establish policies for expelling clubs using this term from its trade associations.

13. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must strongly address and discredit the misconceptions concerning imidaclo-prid, chlorothalonil, 2,4

D, and other chemicals.

14. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must terminate all relationships with environmental groups like Canadian Can-cer Society, World Wildlife Fund, and others, and suspend all related charitable tournaments thatprovide financial donations and support to these groups.

15. The GO LF IN D U S TR Y must openly and financially support all political candidates that oppose anyprohibition legislation.

Force of Nature was launched for continuous transmission on the Internet on January 1st,2009. It is a series of enewsletters destined for the GREEN SPACE INDUSTRY, the EN-

VIRONMENTAL TERROR MOVEMENT, government officials, municipalities, and the

media, nationwide across Canada, and parts of the United States and overseas. FORCE OF

NATURE is produced in two parts. First. The MEDIA REPORT itself that reports on the

current events affecting the future of the GREEN SPACE INDUSTRY. Second. INDE-

PENDENT PERSPECTIVE, which is a running commentary, sometimes technical in nature.

Force of Nature is the WHOLE TRUTH from an INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE !

FORCE OF NATURE is the brainchild of William H. Gathercole and his entourage. Norah

G is actually an acronym for the stable of anonymous producers and writers that contribute to

this enewsletter and have now replaced Mr. Gathercole. They consist of people from the

following industries : Distribution, Fertilizer, Golf, Lawn Care, Manufacturing, Municipal,

Nursery, Orchard. Many of these people are leaders in their own industries. The opinions

expressed in Force of Nature, even though from an INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE, may

not reflect those of everyone in the GREEN SPACE INDUSTRY, or Mr. Gathercoles many

associates. Be warned ! Mr. Gathercole and Norah G may sometimes be very irreverent and

William H. Gathercole holds a degree in Horticulture from the UNIVERSITY OF GUELPH,

and another pure and applied science degree from MCGILL UNIVERSITY. He has worked

in virtually all aspects of the GREEN SPACE INDUSTRY, including public affairs, personal

safety, and environmental issues. Mr. Gathercole has been a consultant and instructor for

decades. He has also been an agricultural agronomist. Mr. Gathercole has followed the evo-

lution of ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISM for over a quartercentury. His involvement in

environmental issues reached a fevered pitch in the 1990s, when he orchestrated, with others, legal action against unethical and excessive mu-

nicipal regulations restricting the use of pest control products. ( i.e. the Town of Hudson. ) Although he can be accused of being ANTI

ENVIRONMENTMOVEMENT, he is, in fact, simply a strong advocate FOR the GREEN SPACE INDUSTRY, from an INDEPENDENT

PERSPECTIVE. However, this position has not precluded him from criticizing the Green Space Industry itself. Nonetheless, his vast knowledge

of our long journey with environmental issues is UNDENIABLE. ( Hopefully ! ) For many years, Mr. Gathercole has been a contributing col-

umnist for TURF & Recreation Magazine, Canadas Turf and Grounds Maintenance Authority. Mr. Gathercole is now retired from Force of Na-

ture, although his name continues to appear as the founder.
