orbes stepped on the Bulgarian mar-ket as a monthly magazine in March 2011. The Bulgarian edition of Forbes preserves the structure, philosophy and values of the American brand. The
magazine’s mission is to provide its readers with information ensuring their success. Forbes Bulgaria encourages entrepreneurial spirit, stimulates good business practices, and works for enhancing the image of entrepreneurs in the coun-try. The magazine is skeptical to state intervention in economy and exerts pressure for freeing econo-my from the state’s presence and for improvement of business environment. All texts in the magazine are sifted through this philosophy. Forbes prefers real stories to abstract analyses since the narrative through specific persons allows for the complex and hardly digestible business information to be presented in a pleasantly and interestingly readable manner without making compromise with the earnest and useful nature of the content.Typical stories of Forbes are those about success-ful entrepreneurs and managers, technological and business innovations, challenges to the small- and medium-size business, passions of the wealthy and influential people. All of this, together with the high standards of journalism ethics, observed by the team of Forbes Bulgaria, makes the magazine an important instru-ment for the success of Bulgarian entrepreneurs, managers and professionals.
Ever since 1917, when the first issue of Forbes was released, the magazine’s mission is to provide its readers with information and in-
depth analyses guaranteeing their success and competitiveness in the big game of business and capital. How does Forbes Bulgaria manage to
perform this difficult task?
