Ceremonial inauguration of the group of the Trade Fairs FOR INTERIOR / DECOR & PRESENT / GASTRO & HOTEL took place with the opening view on 26 September by the symbolic cutting of the ribbon with participation of Jaroslav Čížek, General Manager of ABF; Martin Čudka, President of the Association of Czech Furniture Manufacturers; Martina Vondrová, representative of the Czech Chefs Association; Karel Smejkal, Founder of the Czech Deco Team and Jana Štěrbová, Director of the PPM Exhibition.

The fourth edition of the FOR INTERIOR Trade Fair, which was historically the largest exhibition event for furniture in the Czech Republic, offered presentation of a number of innovations and Czech first views at the exhibitors’ stands. For many firms it was for the first time when they took part in such an exhibition event. For visitors, the Trade Fair was an ideal opportunity for making themselves familiar with new trends as well as materials in the field of living, which were presented by leading Czech as well as foreign manufacturers and suppliers of furniture.

In four exhibition areas it was possible to see both manufacturers and importers of upholstered furniture, beds and mattresses, furniture for living rooms and children’s rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, kitchen appliances, manufacturers of doors, floors as well as stairs and inbuilt bathroom and stylish furniture.

The winner of the visitors’ survey entitled “Autumn Favourite” was a collection of tailored bathroom furniture, a part of the product range of the Czech firm “Dřevojas”.

ACCOMPANYING EVENTS

The unique advisory centre operating under the auspices of the Czech Deco Team association was established on an area of 1200 sq m in the Hall no. 6. It was for the first time when all members of the Czech Deco Team association presented their products and services. The Czech Deco Team association has been operating, already for 5 years, as a link between architects and major Czech companies and companies operating in the Czech Republic, offering a unique system which not only checks mutual contracts but also passes them to cooperating architects.

Conference “How does cooperation with architects change firms, what did the Czech Deco Team application change?”

Architects and owners of some firms of the Czech Deco Team discussed about how they adapted offers and behaviour of their firms with regard to cooperation with architects as well as cooperation of individual firms among themselves.

A unique application about mutual interconnection of members was presented.

The Trade Fair of Decorations, Home Accessories and Gifts is an integral part of the autumn group of Trade Fairs for living and completes the integrated and full-range offer in the field of equipment of interiors. The fourth edition of this specialised contracting and sales event was successful and confirmed the focus of the offer on both the professional and general public. The direct connection of the sector of home accessories and decorations to the largest autumn Trade Fair of Furniture in the Czech Republic provides exhibitors with extended business opportunities and is a guarantee of the high-quality composition of visitors.The FOR DECOR & PRESENT Trade Fair was situated in the Hall no. 1, where leading Czech manufacturers and exclusive importers prepared impressive expositions of decorations and home accessories, completed with Christmas topics. The integrated offer for flat equipment was enriched by firms presenting design car-pets and illumination, stylish luxurious wallpapers, atypical modern decorations, works of art or untraditional decorative heating bodies. The Trade Fair offer was wide, rich and quite diverse, which provided attending experts with a welcome inspiration and end customers with a possibility of final tuning of the interior in all details. Floristics, dining, decorative and domestic glass, home furnishing fabrics, all these areas are attractive and popular sectors, having their steady place in the hall of decorations, and also this time they positively underlined the entire atmosphere of the event.The Trade Fairs of Furniture and Decorations were enriched by participation of the professional association of architects and decorators CZECH DECO TEAM, whose advisory centre was situated in the Hall no. 6.Participation of this professional association provided the entire event with a surety of high quality and guar-anteed attractive participation of highly demanded decoration studios, arrangers and architects. It is possible to state that the Trade Fairs of living in the Prague Letňany Exhibition Centre became a comprehensive and high-quality guide to the trends of designing and equipping interiors.

GIFT AND ADVERTISING ARTICLESThe separate section FOR PRESENT was devoted again to the area of GIFT AND ADVERTISING ARTICLES. The wide range of corporate and managerial gifts, fashion accessories as well as untraditional gift articles followed up to the decoration sector. Participation of luxurious foreign brands as well as direct manufacturers of gifts confirmed the importance of a separate presentation of this specific sector in an individual concept. Gift goods became a sector enrichment of the entire group of Trade Fairs and especially an inspiration for company as well as personal gifts in the light of the upcoming Christmas and New Year seasons.

PRAGUE PATCHWORK MEETINGRegular presentation of the popular exhibition PRAGUE PATCHWORK MEETING within the framework of the Trade Fair is a welcome and highly valuable enrichment of the event. This involves an art-focused concept of the sector of home furnishing fabrics by way of original tapestries whose creation develops from the use of various techniques which are usually not typical of textiles. The core topic of this year’s exhibition was the SILK COLLECTION of the Art Quilt Club of the Czech Republic. This exhibition is a travelling event and besides its stops at the FOR DECOR Trade Fair and in other places in the Czech Republic it will be presented also at an important foreign event – Festival of Quilts held in Birmingham, England. The Trade Fair visitors could admire 29 art tapestries – art quilts from 25 creative artists who presented unusual possibilities of decoration of both residential and social premises.

The third edition of the Trade Fair meant a breakthrough in the series of the previous editions. Thanks to new premises of the Exhibition Hall no. 4 and with co-participation of new key partners of the events from the field of gastronomy, the FOR GASTRO & HOTEL Trade Fair registered further progress again. The number of exhibitors was almost double, while maintaining its sector specialisation and professi-onalism.

The Trade Fair offered a number of new ideas and inspirations for further business activities and op-portunities of establishing new business contacts to experts from the field of gastronomy and the hotel industry.

The FOR GASTRO & HOTEL 2013 Trade Fair was actively supported by the Czech Chefs Association (AKC ČR) with a rich accompanying programme. Gourmets could enjoy especially the offer of competing menus from the National Junior Team of Chefs of AKC ČR. The feedback obtained from the survey or-ganised among exhibitors brought a positive evaluation of the event and a promise of participation next year as well. Visitors were satisfied with the accompanying programme. The Trade Fair welcomed also a dozen of professional Italian chefs and pizza makers presented by the National Italian School (SNIP) and demonstrated the best of the Italian cuisine with their cooperation. It organised a competition of professionals entitled MARGHERITA CUP 2013.

• The AKC ČR Junior National Team and the AKC ČR National Team presented a cooking show and culinary menus with which they represent the Czech Republic at the International Competition of the 6th Salon Culinaire Mondial 2013 in Basel and at the IYCC International Competition in Seoul, South Korea (see the detailed menu on the left).

• SNIP (Italian National School for Pizza Makers) organised, within the framework of its exposition, the first international competition in pizza, which did not consist in the taste and design but in the speed and precision of the pizza maker. The competition consisted of two independent disciplines - Mar-gherita Cup and PIZZA BALL.
