So, you heeded your

country’s call, and put

your life on the line, but

now you’re suffering

from PTSD, anxiety

attacks, depression or

any one or combination of a multitude of

mental illnesses. Perhaps you have drug and/

or alcohol issues. All considered, your life has

deteriorated and you find you can’t cope: You

may even have become homeless.

Isolation is probably the worst thing

you could do: Grapevine’s Drop-in Center’s is

a safe, neutral place to hang out, meet and

socialize with others with similar problems,

gain understanding and acceptance.

Grapevine Center is a place that takes care of

your physical needs as well as mental & social

needs.

At the Grapevine, you can get vital

physical supports

like access to

Showers;

frequent free

meals; transport

and access to

computers and

phones.

Housing Outreach

Program can help you

find accommodation;

we can help you navigate the Public Services

network and link you with supports to access

Social Security, Disability, or

Food Stamps, and medical

insurance, if necessary.

Our Certified Peer

Service (CPS) is a

wonderful program that

pairs you with one of

our Certified Peers who

can act like a personal

life coach and help you achieve your

recovery goals, whatever they may be, such

as becoming drug or alcohol free, working out

a Wellness Recovery Program (WRAP) to help

you cope with your triggers; getting

education or a job; or joining the Vet’s Social

Smarts group where you can socialize with

other veterans & discuss issues especially

relevant to Vets; etc.

VA Transitional Center named after Grapevine

Executive Director Bette Peoples

There is always something to do at the

Grapevine, with all sorts of events, and

outings, so you never have to isolate

— unless by choice, and you can learn,

grow, recover and live a meaningful life

— AMONGST FRIENDS.
