SPRING ‘13OUTINGS
ADVENTURE OUTINGS, BMU—MAIN LOBBYMONDAY–FRIDAY, 9 am–5 pm WWW.ASCHICO.COM/ADVENTUREOUTINGS530-898-4011
IN 1984, the students of Chico State recognized the need for student-led adventures in the wilds of Northern California and beyond. Today, Adventure Outings (AO) is supported by the Associated Students of Chico State. In addition to our outdoor trips, we offer custom trips, outdoor equipment rentals, and backcountry yurt rental.
The mission of Adventure Outings is to conduct state-of-the-art adventure-related activities and programs structured to enhance the experiences of the Chico State community.
Adventure Outings runs 30–40 trips every semester, exposing you to exciting activities such as white-water rafting, backpacking, rock climbing, caving, and kayaking. All outings (unless otherwise listed) are suitable for beginners. AO’s trip leaders are university students who provide the leadership that has earned Adventure Outings a national reputation for program excellence. WEL

E
WHAT AO PROVIDES Trip fees cover leadership, transportation, camping, and technical equipment like boats, climbing gear, etc. AO does not provide personal clothing, camping equipment, or food. If you need equipment for one of our trips, you can rent it from our rental center at 50% off the regular student rate!
SIGN-UP INFORMATION Sign-ups for all Adventure Outings trips are on a first-come, first-served basis. So sign up early at the AO office in the BMU. Many participants sign up by themselves so they can meet new people while enjoying the great outdoors. You may make some friends that last long past your trip! Persons with disabilities who anticipate needing special accommodations or who have questions about physical access may call 530-898-4011 in advance of the trip.
PRE-TRIP MEETINGS T UESDAY OR W EDNESDAY AT 6PM Pre-trip meetings are mandatory for participation in all outings. On the Tuesday or Wednesday before your outing, a short meeting is held to meet the other participants and get all the necessary information for your trip. These pre-trip meetings are to ensure you are adequately prepared for the outing. If you cannot attend your pre-trip meeting, you must meet with the trip leader to get the necessary information. You may not be allowed to go on the trip if you have not attended either of these meetings. Specfic details about when and where your meeting will be are communicated to you the week of your trip.
REFUND POLICY No refunds are given unless the trip is canceled by Adventure Outings. Inform the Adventure Outings office if you decide to sell your spot, and bring your receipt to the office. However, if you do not sell your spot, you will not be reimbursed if you choose not to go on the trip. Due to the unpredictability of nature and other unforeseeable circumstances, trip locations, times, dates, and the method of travel are subject to change without notification.
