TRADE-IN TERMS AND CONDITIONS YOUR DEVICE & DATA You agree to deactivate all services and remove all passcodes that may prevent the ability to use, recycle, resell or dispose of the device. You agree to remove all personal data (files, photos, videos, music, etc.) from the device. The trade-in service provider is not responsible for the loss or destruction of any hardware, soſtware, files, or media leſt on or in the device. Once shipped, you will not be able to recover any data or materials from the device. You will follow the packing and shipping recommendations to avoid damage, loss or delays. DEVICE INSPECTION Your device will undergo a thorough erasure immediately upon receipt. Any additional items, upon arrival, that were not asked for during the initial trade creation (e.g. CD’s, SD cards, headphones) will be recycled and are ineligible for return. Inspectors will confirm the model and condition of the device verifying that the actual value matches the value initially quoted. Upon inspection, the trade-in service provider will verify the eligibility and value of the device. Your quoted value may be revised if the device is received late (more than twenty one (21) days aſter you accepted the trade quote), or the model or condition is different than was quoted. IF THERE ARE NO CHANGES TO YOUR DEVICE’S INSPECTED VALUE: You will receive an email confirming the completed trade value. IF THERE ARE CHANGES TO YOUR DEVICE’S INSPECTED VALUE: You’ll receive an email with details on why the value was corrected and you will have a limited amount of time to accept or reject the new offer. This decision is final. If you reject the revised offer, your trade will be canceled and your device will be shipped back to your address on file. SIGN OUT OF ITUNES

Open iTunes, then navigate to the menu at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window.Click Account > Authorizations > Deauthorize This Computer

SIGN OUT OF ICLOUD + FIND MY MAC

From the Apple Menu at the top le� (), select System Preferences then select iCloud

Deselect Find My Mac, enter your Apple ID password, click Continue, and proceed to sign out. When you sign out of iCloud, you’ll be asked whether you want to remove iCloud data from your Mac

Select Delete from Mac so your iCloud data will remain on other devices using the same Apple ID

SIGN OUT OF FILEVAULT

From System Preferences, select Security & Privacy, and then select the FileVault tab

Click the lock button at the bottom le� (enter an administrator name and password) to unlock settings

Turn FileVault OFF

REINSTALL MAC OS

Choose Reinstall macOS (or Reinstall OS X) from the utilities window

Click Continue and follow onscreen instructions To install macOS, your Mac serial number is sent to Apple and you might be asked for your Apple ID. Entering your Apple ID won’t restore your personal data on your device

Your Mac will restart a�er installation is complete

ERASE YOUR HARD DRIVE

Restart your Mac and immediately press and hold Command+R keys until the Apple logo or a spinning globe appear

Select Disk Utility from the utilities window of macOS Recovery, then click Continue

Select your device or Hard Drive volume in the sidebar

Click the Erase button and complete these �elds: Name: Enter a name for your disk Format: Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled) or APFS Scheme (if available): Choose GUID Partition Map

Click Erase to begin erasing your disk

When done, quit Disk Utility to return to the utilities window

Prepare Your Mac or iMac for Trade-In

“Cut-out” view of placement in the shipping box.

Remove the upper foam insert, bubble mailer, plastic display cover, shipping label and security tape. Do NOT remove the foam insert at the bottom of the box.

Wrap your iMac in the plastic display cover.

Remove the cardboard insert, and insert your iMac in the same orientation displayed. The device should be: • upright with the iMac bottom at the bottom of the box • with the corners seated in the lower foam support notches, • the curved back of the iMac pressed against the curved side of the notches.You may dispose and recycle the cardboard insert.

For 2011 and older iMacs, and external displays, remove the perforated foam pieces from the notches in the upper and lower foam supports to allow for

the wider device pro�le.

Place the bubble mailer of accessories behind the device.

Replace the upper foam support with the curved back of the device press-ing against the curved side of the notches.

Close the box, and seal the trade-in kit with the security tape provided.

A�x the included return shipping label over the previous label addressed to you.

Place iMac accessories in the bubble mailer. Note: Other than power cables, accessories cannot be returned.
