PERFORMA SPORTS IS AN INNOVATIVE SPORTS TECHNOLOGY TEAM......focused on evolving the role, speed, and simplicity of mobile and cloud technology as a game-changer in sports performance analysis and coaching.

We believe in the power of athlete engagement for personal development and the role of reflective practice for both performer and coach to improve observation, communication and learning.

Working at levels in sport, we specialise in the integration of analysis within the coaching process for athlete development using Performa Sports iPad app and integrated cloud analytics platform.

Learning is a key driver for us. We work alongside Ulster University in the delivery of accredited performance analysis training and with Loughborough University in the area of coach behaviour analysis for coach education and talent ID.

THE SYSTEMThe Performa Sports iPad app and integrated Performa Sports cloud analytics platform offers a flexible and easy-to-use performance analysis system. The mobility and touchscreen media advantages of the Apple iPad combined with the secure storage and accessibility of the cloud mean that analysis and performance communication can happen pitch side, at training or after the match/training to encourage player participation in the improvement process as well as extend valuable coaching contact time.

INTRODUCTION TO COACHING WITH PERFORMANCE ANALYSISThis introductory course has been tailored for coaches, managers and analysts interested in the coaching perspective. Building on the fundamentals of sports analysis including shaping key performance indicators (KPIs), we demonstrate how analysis can be integrated within the coaching process.

LEVEL 4 CPPD COURSE IN APPLIED PERFORMANCE ANALYSISFully accredited by Ulster University, the course combines a nice blend of theory, best practice and applied learning. In addition to the technical and tactical aspects of analysis, importantly we cover the core aspects of athlete learning and equivalent forms of teaching to demonstrate how analysis can be translated into effective performance coaching and help improve athlete understanding through reflective practice.

EDUCATION PARTNERS

HARDWARE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS The Performa Sports iPad app can operate as an independent mobile performance analysis tool with the core hardware requirement an Apple iPad (from iPad 2 up, excluding the iPad Pro 12.9”).

The video format required by Apple is mp4 h.264 codec. Most modern cameras can record directly to this format or standard AVCHD video can be easily converted.

Wifi is not required for the iPad application to be used for live-game tagging or analysis on the go.

For the purposes of sharing and uploading data to the Performa Sports cloud platform a wireless broadband connection will be needed. Your Cloud account can be accessed via web-enabled devices (PC, Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone). Google Chrome is the preferred web browser.
