Something about myself I have 6 years experience in football betting, from the hobby at beginning stage to making serious money now. I firmly believe that the bookies are POSSIBLE to beat although it is not to be easy. Yet, at the early stage of my betting life, the road wasn’t smooth. I tried almost every method that claiming can make big profit from football betting, like following the tips in the newspaper, purchasing football betting system online, etc. However, I could not win the big money. I start my own investigation on football betting 4 years ago and as a result spent many afternoons sitting in front of the computer and working out the best way to beat the bookies in long term. Finally the hard work rewards. A unique, effective football betting system is born. Now I am going to share my success that brought me thousands pounds with you.

A) Overview of my system To win the BIG MONEY from football betting, there are two essential factors – betting the right teams using an intelligent betting method. We cannot beat the bookies without either one of them. My system gives you a completely unique, new idea of picking the right teams and bet on them with a betting method. To get success in football betting, you need to pick the teams that are in form and bet on them. My system can do this accurately. People who just concern the ‘win’, ‘draw’, ‘loss’ as form guide of a team are making a SERIOUS mistake and that is probably one of the main reasons why the bookies keep thieving money from us. The final score of a game is not the best reflection of the performance of a team. The ‘final score’ can be very misleading which means that the team scores may not be what the team deserved to get. A lucky goal can totally change the final result of a game, but ‘luck’ is not a good indicator of the performance of a team. We have to take this factor into account as these misleading results would cost you a lot. In additions to GOALS, we have to find another parameter that reflects the performance better and therefore represents the form of a team more accurately. The answer is ‘SHOTS ON TARGETED’.

A team cannot score without on-targeted shots. The number of ‘SHOTS ON TARGETED’ of a team and that of their opponent reflects their performance more accurate than the number of goals. If a team got many on-targeted shots in a match, they usually perform very well in their next match, at least they won’t lose in most cases. (This is very important fact and is the main concept behind my betting method.) - Obviously, although both Portsmouth and Crystal Palace lost their matches, Portsmouth performs a lot better than Crystal Palace in terms of ‘shots on targeted’ and that is a very good explanation of the result “Crystal Palace 0 – 1 Portsmouth” on 26 Dec 2004.

History is repeated and repeated again, the problem is how to turn this valuable information that most people ignored into real big money. I will explain what exactly you should do in latter sections. This involves some simple calculations. Yes, it’s just SIMPLE, so don’t worry, it’s neither about complex calculating formula, nor some calculating process that takes you hours. The mathematics behind is easy to deal with. One problem you may concern at this stage is how can we get the information of ‘shots on targeted’ of the matches. Don’t worry, we can find this information in the internet for free. I will talk more about it in next section.

B) Raw materials for success Here are all the raw materials you need before winning the big money from the bookies: 1. Accessing to the internet We have to get the shots information through this web site: http://www.soccernet.com At the left task bar, press ‘England’ ‘Results/Reports’, then you can find the statistics of the English Premier League Matches. Press ‘gamecast’ for the detailed statistics of a match. The web site only provides the statistics for English Premier League, so all the testing of my betting system are based on the English Premiership matches. I do believe that my system can also be very successful in other league matches if we can get the shots statistics. Recently, I found the shots statistics for other leagues at www.sportinglife.com, from English Premiership to Conference and Scottish Premiership to Division 3. I am working very hard on testing my system with other divisions at the moment and personally I will soon apply the system on other leagues. In this booklet, all the examples are for English Premiership only.

N.B. although the statistics from this web site may be a bit different with

those from the opta index (an authoritative association analyzing the data

in many sports), www.soccernet.com and www.sportinglife.com still

gives very accurate information for my betting system.

2. 30 minutes spare time It takes you just half an hour a week to implement my betting system. It’s very easy. N.B. Excel is very useful when it comes to the calculations. But you still

can also this by calculator, pen and paper if you like.

3. Cash or Credit Card You can simply going down the local bookies to bet by cash or what I recommend is open an internet betting account for speed and ease. Ladbrokes or William hill would be a good choice.

C) How to make £££’s using my betting system There is one important thing to remind you before talking about how to win £££ using my system and if you are amateur in football (admit it if you are!), you must give up all your own opinion on matches and teams. That may be a difficult task to you but keep in mind that this is a key to success. Even if you are an expert in football or you are fairly confident of your football knowledge, always be open-minded and throw away all your personal taste of the teams. One of the reasons why the bookies are difficult to beat is – EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION (I mean the opinion that came from their emotional feel, and that’s where 90 % of people’s opinion came from). “Man Utd are in trouble now, but you can never write them off.” “Liverpool is going to win the Derby match this Saturday.” Don’t trust you feel, trust the statistics and objective evidences. Fans’ money is the easiest money that the bookies earn. You cannot bet rationally if your emotion is taken to your account. People who always bet the teams they ‘like’ (simply by emotional perception) won’t be successful. They go down to the pub, watch the live match, shout for their team and look very excited. However, they lose their bets at the end, usually.

I understand that betting against the teams you support is a painful thing. But if the statistics tells they are going to lose, you have to admit that. To earn big money from football betting, don’t treat this as your hobby or entertainment, TREAT THIS AS YOUR BUSINESS! Now onto the details of my team-picking method. At this stage, you should have a basic understanding of my football betting system. Now let me tell you what exactly you should do. This section split into 2 parts – teams picking method and betting method. N.B. I would use the matches on week 03 Jan 2005 as an example to

explain the whole process.

(I) Teams picking method We are interested in all English Premier League games of same week (i.e. 10 matches), usually 7-8 matches on Saturday, 2-3 on Sunday and sometimes there is 1 night match on Monday. Write down all the fixtures. For each match, take a look at the shots on-targeted of their last league game (exclude all the cup games) for each team (check at www.soccernet.com or www.sportinglife.com).

Then calculate

(shots on targeted of the team – shots on targeted of their opponents) / 4.6

N.B. According to the statistics of past 3 seasons of English Premier

League (stats of www.soccernet.com, not opta index), every 4.6

on-targeted shots produce a goal.

The number calculated represents the ‘true’ performance of a team in that match. A larger number represents a better performance and thus a higher chance of winning. I call this ‘performance index’. e.g.

Q: Why choose the teams with winning index > 0.5 and performance index > 0? A: Winning index represent the ‘winning chance’ of the teams in a match. After testing and testing with my betting system, choosing teams with winning index > 0.5 can maximize the profits in long term. Thus, we should avoid teams with performance index < 0 because it means that the team is not in a good form. Now you should have 4 – 8 teams in your list. That’s just the first part of the picking process, we have to select the best of the best within these 4 – 8 teams. Next, analyses the form of the recent 4 matches for each team in your list, award 3 points for win, 1 point for draw, 0 point for loss. I call this ‘form index’.

8.8 x 1.33 x 11 = 128.74 That’s a very good odds that we can get rich in a week if all 3 teams win. But if one of the teams draw or lose, we lose all our bets. Betting in this way is very risky and I would not recommend you to do so. We need another betting method to lower the risk and increase the success rate. Since this method involves some technique that you may be unfamiliar with, I want to briefly explain the theory behind first. Now we know that Arsenal is unlikely to get an easy win according to our findings on performance index, winning index and form index. But placing a single bet on away win is too risky. So we bet on both draw and away win with different stake. We can make profit if Arsenal cannot win the game. And the optimized stakes give us the same amount of profit whatever the match is finished with a draw or away win. N.B. I attached a excel file called

Calculating_Optimized_Odds_and_Stakes which contain the formulae for

calculating the optimized odds and stakes.

If we set the total stakes be £100, then we should bet

The optimized odds is the ‘combined’ odds of away win and draw. We are betting on ‘draw or away win’, where the odds is 3.293. If draw or away win, it returns £100 x 3.293 = £329.3 Now we have to decide when to bet on both win and draw and when to bet on win only. We should select very carefully because it is crucial to the success rate of the bet. After a long time of research on this subject and testing for the for 3 seasons, we should bet on win only when the win odds < 1.9, bet on both win and draw when the odds > = 1.9. N.B. You may check the odds from www.willhill.com or

www.ladbrokes.com

In theory, we are betting a treble on: ‘Chelsea win’ x ‘Tottenham win or draw’ x ‘Manchester City win or draw’ where the total odds is 2.75 x 1.33 x 3.29 = 12.03 If the total stakes is £100, the total return is £1203, with 1103% profit. I bet you still remember the results of these 3 matches: Manchester United 0 – 0 Tottenham Chelsea 2 – 0 Middlesbrough Arsenal 0 – 0 Manchester City An easy win! Practically, you are NOT betting one treble only, but betting several trebles with different stakes for each combination. In this case, there are two teams (Tottenham and Man City) that we are going to bet on both ‘win and draw’, so use ‘2 Matches’ worksheet in the attached excel file. The following is a sample of ‘2 Matches’ worksheet. You have to enter ‘team name’, ‘win odds’, ‘draw odds’ and ‘Total stakes (£)’, then Excel will calculate ‘optimized odds’, ‘stakes on each combination’ for you.

If you are going to place a bet in local bookies, I recommend you to write the slip one after another, in this case, you have write 4 slips in total.

Sometimes, there maybe more than 4 teams to bet on win and draw, but I don’t recommend you to bet on all of them as it is too risky and complicated that you need to place a huge number of bets. 4-matches win and draw need 16 bets, 5-matches win and draw need 32 bets. To keep the betting method simple, the maximum number of teams betting on win-and-draw is 4. For example, if you have 1 team on win only, and 5 teams on win and draw, choose 4 teams among those 5. Choose the teams with highest FORM INDEX, if some teams have the same form index, choose the teams with highest WINNING INDEX, and if still the same (which is very rare), choose the teams with highest PERFORMANCE INDEX. ***** One important thing I want to remind you is that YOU DON’T NEED TO FULLY FOLLOW THE SYSTEM TO BET (you can apply on other leagues as well if you have the shots statistics). If you don’t have time or you are amateur in football, you can follow the system. However, if you are serious in football betting and want to get into it deeper, what I recommend is combining your own football knowledge with my system before placing the bets. The strength point of my system is providing a guideline to pick the in-form teams and bet on them with a less aggressive method (i.e. bet win-and-draw rather than win only) to increase the success rate.

Q: What would you recommend as a starting stake per week? A: I now make regular bets with £100 per week (considering increase to £150) but I started with £25 3 years ago and that’s what I recommend. A: You will win same amount of money whatever the team finished with a win or draw. That’s what why we optimize the stake. Q: How can I develop my own system? A: My betting system is about how shots on-targeted and recent form of a team relate to the outcome of a match. Another main difference between them is that you have to bet on the ‘winner’ in fixed odds, buy for spread betting, you just need to guess which team perform better or worse than expected. That’s why I loved spread betting at that time. The theory behind is if you guess the result better than bookies, you make profit and the more you get it right, the larger profits would you made. However, the spread betting bookies are even more difficult to beat than the fixed odds for 2 main reasons. First, there is a big obstacle in spread betting.
