Hebrews 9:24-28 (NIV)24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But he has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

OUTREACHPray for the various Christmas Outreach planning committees. As we roll out the outreach events for the community and the underprivileged this Christmas, we pray that the Lord Jesus will be pleased with our worship as we work as a family at PLMC to bless those He cares for. We pray that His salvation will be made known to the community and all the beneficiaries through the demonstration of love and power in all that we say and do as we organise and host these events!

We thank God for the many clusters who have availed themselves to serve in various capacities at the various Christmas Outreach events. Pray for good health, supernatural strength, immense creativity and exceeding joy for all volunteers. Pray also that many more within the PLMC family will rise up and give their time, talents and resources to be a blessing to our community.

Pray also that there will be good response and commitment from both residents in the community as well as beneficiaries of partnering social agencies to come for the Christmas outreach events.

Thank you for your partnership in Prayer!

CUS Testimony

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in June 2017. Immediately after six sessions of chemotherapy in September last year, I left for Germany to attend my husband’s niece’s wedding and his mother’s birthday. One week into the holiday, both my legs began to swell up to my thighs. I went twice to see two private doctors and the swelling did not subside. I had an ultrasound done for thrombosis. Praise the Lord it was not. I was warded in hospital for four days. The only time I saw a doctor was on the day I was warded and the next day, when another doctor came to take down my particulars. As it happened to be a weekend and Monday being a public holiday, there were no doctors on duty except for emergencies. From the blood test, I was told that it was a virus in my kidneys but they could not ascertain what kind of virus it was. I was in pain and my blood pressure was high. The next day a young trainee Nigerian nurse in her twenties came into the room to introduce herself and to find out how I was. She spoke to me in German which I could speak and understand. I asked her if she could speak English as I was more comfortable speaking that, and she said, “Yes”. For the life of me I could not figure out why I asked her if she was a Christian, and she said, “Yes, a BORN AGAIN”. I got excited. I said, “Could you pray for me?”and she said, “Yes”. As she was praying, she broke out in tongues, and just then, a male nurse came in. After she finished praying, he said in German to her, “Oh, you can pray in tongues”. After she left a patient was warded in the room I was in.

The next morning, the Nigerian nurse excitedly came in the room and asked me how I was. She said the whole night the Holy Spirit kept on waking her up to pray for Mrs Hubner (me). I told her I managed to sleep well that night. During my stay, I did not ask for any pain-killers even though I felt uncomfortable. She prayed again and asked the Lord for divine favour for the swelling to subside as I was leaving for Singapore in two days. The swelling subsided a little and my husband and I decided to check me out of the hospital. We had to catch the flight back to Singapore as I had an appointment with a Professor at NUH on Monday. God was so good He arranged for wheelchair service and a comfortable flight back to Singapore. I made an appointment to see a vascular doctor at NUH and was diagnosed with incompetent veins and valves in my legs. Surgery was not recommended as they could not guarantee success, and it was too soon after chemotherapy.

Every three months I had to go for a scope. I had done four more and there was still a small red scar which the Professor was not sure whether it was the after effects of chemotherapy.

On 24 September 2018, I went for the another scope. This time the Professor said to me, “Look! Look! Your bladder is so clean, you cannot imagine something was in it”. He turned to me and said, “Congratulations, you have a new bladder”. He went out and congratulated my husband. Glory to God that was what I had prayed when I was diagnosed. I had

CUS said, “God, You are a creative, healing

God. Create a new bladder for me” and God answered my prayers.

Three Sundays ago, Pastor Irene was praying for lungs and I went up for prayers as I am being treated for my lungs. The following Sunday, Pastor Wendy gave the word “veins” and I went up for prayer. This time, Pastor Wendy and Pastor Alex prayed for me. I was filled by the Holy Spirit with holy laughter. As I was sitting on the pew, Pastor Jonathan passed by and said to Pastor Wendy pray for her legs, too, as one shorter than the other, and the Lord grew my shorter leg, too.

I thank God for many miracles in my life. The first was when I was 10 years old in 1960, and on my dying bed diagnosed with rheumatic fever. God came to my rescue. I am ever so thankful and grateful to God our Father, His Son Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit for being with me and seeing me through all these years. Glory to God in the Highest. Amen - Geraldine Huebner
