1. Pray that the poor and vulnerable households and school children will experience God’s love through the Korogocho project and AE staff witness.

2. Pray for the resources to meet the huge need for additional toilets for poor households and schools in the slum of Korogocho which are not supported by the government.

3. Pray that God will protect AE staff and associates from any harm and danger while working in the Korogocho slums.

4. Pray for the bene� ting communities of Korogocho slums to be better empowered to hold duty bearers accountable for their responsibilities.

5. Pray for hearts in Korogocho to be changed forever by the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

6. Pray for the churches in the slums of Nairobi to be witnesses of God’s love to His people particularly the poor and vulnerable.

7. Pray for opportunities for the Gospel to be effectively proclaimed in the bene� ciary households and schools of Korogocho.

8. Pray for � nancial provision for the Huye City mission, that God will move in the hearts of people to give to the work of this ministry!

9. Pray for the health and wellbeing of John Kalenzi, Team Leader of Rwanda and his staff members.

10. Pray that God will connect the mission team to people in Huye who are waiting to hear about Him—including many members of society who are often neglected.

11. Ask God to give the mission team wisdom and direction as new opportunities for ministry become apparent.

12. Huye City mission begins today. Pray that the mission team will be bold in proclaiming the Gospel and that many will come to accept the saving work of Jesus Christ.

13. Pray for the start of an intensive week of pastor training in Kigali, Rwanda today.

14. Pray for AE Rwanda to have wisdom in their ministry and that they will obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.

15. Pray for the AE Rwanda staff as they train and equip local believers in Huye to reach others with the Gospel.

16. Pray for the leadership of the church in Huye that there will be unity and a resolve to work together for Jesus.

17. Pray for believers in Huye to exhibit spiritual maturity and a desire to share their faith.

18. Pray for God to give the mission team His power over the darkness evident in Huye city.

19. Today is the last day of the Huye City mission. Pray for the continuing work of the Spirit in the lives of those who have heard the Gospel during mission.

20. A four day Preaching Conference run by Mike Raiter from Australia starts in Kigali today. Pray that this will equip pastors in handling the Bible for years to come.

21. Today is Malawi tripartite elections, pray for fairness and godly leadership as a result of the elections.

22. The Korogocho slum is the fourth largest in Kenya, with 250,000 people pressed into 1.5 square km. Pray that AE can provide hope through Christ to the people living in squalid conditions.

23. Pray for many families and households struggling with poverty in Korogocho, pray for God’s provision.

24. Praise God for the positive impact that the building of latrines and handwashing points have provided to the Korogocho community, families and school children.

25. Pray that the Lord will give AE wisdom, discernment and best practice in building and servicing an additional 25 latrines and handwashing points in Korogocho this year.

26. Pray for the local churches in Korogocho to embrace social action and justice in their ministries so as to preach the Gospel holistically.

27. According to World Health Program (WHO, 2013), poor sanitation contributes to about 700,000 child deaths from diarrhoea each year. Please pray that AE initiatives cut child mortality rates.

28. Pray for the partnership AE has with our supporters in Australia, NZ and Africa to provide the resources and expertise for building best practice and environmentally friendly ventilated pit latrines.

29. Pray for strength, endurance and sustainability for all the pastors and congregations ministering to the people around them in the Kenyan slums.

30. Today commences 10 days of global prayer. Praise God for all He is doing in the nation of Africa and for the role that we get to play in the Great Commission through AE.

31. Pray for AE in 2019, that God will use this ministry to change the hearts and lives of many in Africa.

Please pray for Korogocho Community Hygiene & Sanitation Project and Huye City MissionThe Huye City Rwanda mission will partner with 10 local churches from 2-19 May and will reach university students, prisoners, street children and commercial sex workers. AE’s Korogocho Community Hygiene & Sanitation Improvement Project in Kenya provides affordable and environmentally sustainable hygiene solutions in the Korogocho slums.
