    Frankfurt 3 - 0 Hibernian

    Hibernian crashed out of Europe tonight after being

    beaten 3-0 in Germany. A brace from Inamoto helped

    Frankfurt defeat the Hibees with Tsoumou adding the

    third.

    Hibernian will be wondering what could have been if they

    had taken their chance in Germany.

    Speaking to the official Hibs website after the Frankfurt

    game Macnab told of his disappointment in the result.

    Im frustrated that we didnt take our chances in the

    game. Had we have taken them it could have been a

    different outcome but take nothing away from Frankfurt,

    they are an excellent side. My boys will hopefully learn

    from this experience in Europe and we hopefully come

    back strong next year

    Monday 6th September

    Hibernian have made four changes to the side which lost

    in Germany with James Brown, Daniel Galbraith,

    Zemmama and Materazzi all starting.

    Things got off to a perfect start for Hibernian this evening

    as striker James Brown seized on a mistake for Andrew

    Sunday 19th September

    Hibernian manager will be pleased with the news that

    striker Derek Riordan has returned to full training.

    Riordan has been out for 3 weeks with a foot injury.

    Monday 20th September

    Hearts 2 1 Motherwell

    Wednesday 22st September

    The only Scottish team in the Champions League, Celtic,

    took on Juventus tonight at Parkhead and came away with

    a lucky 1 -1 draw.

    Saturday 25th September

    Hibernian 3 1 St. Mirren

    Hibernian striker Derek Riordan was recalled to the side

    after being out with injury and turns the game around.

    St. Mirren midfielder Stephen McGinn gave them the lead

    with a curling shot from the edge of the area in the 13th

    minute. Into the second have and Riordan equalized for

    Hibernian in the 50th

    minute with a long range freekickwhich went in off the post. He then made it two in the 79

    minute before scoring his hat-trick with another

    trademark freekick.

    Monday 27th September

    Manager Jamie Macnab was said to be delighted with the

    performance of Derek Riordan and was pleased to hear

    both he and Materazzi were named in the team of the

    week.

    Hibernian moved up to 3rd in the table following that

    victory but now face the Saints again in the League Cup.

    Wednesday 29th September

    League Cup 3rd Round

    Hibernian 4 0 St. Mirren

    Hibernian pulled off a 4-0 win over St. Mirren at Easter

    Road tonight. Midfielder McCarthy game Hibs the lead

    with a defected shot in the 16th minute. An error from St.

    Mirren allowed Brown to score a well placed shot to make

    it 2-0 to Hibernian. Zemmama then scored with a freekick

    to make it 3-0 before half time. Derek Riordan was take off

    at half time with an injury scare but his replacement Garry

    OConnor completed the rout with a screamer from

    outside the box on the 90th minute.
