The Obituary
Milton Billie McCall was born on January 25, 1935 to the late Stanley McGregor and the late Marie McCall McGregor. He departed this life and began his heavenly rest on December 23, 2017. He was united in holy matrimony to Bernice Green, who preceded him in death on December 24, 1955. He was a devoted husband and father. Having accepted Christ as an early age, Milton was a faithful Christian servant. For many years, he was a member of Silver Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Chairman of Trustees and in various other capacities. Late in life, Milton joined the membership of Leach Springs Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Milton was employed by the N. C. Department of Correction at McCain Hospital for over 30 years. During his tenure at McCain, he forged great friendships and was well respected among his peers. Additionally, he owned and operated a local taxi service. Milton also served his greater community through volunteering with Meals on Wheels. I am the resurrection and the life, saith the Lord; he that believeth in Me, through he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth; and though his body be destroyed, yet shall I see God; whom I shall see for myself and mine eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger.
For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For if we live, we live unto the Lord, and if we die we die unto the Lord. Whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord; even so saith the spirit, for they rest from their labors.
