Objectives of the Course• To prepare students for a career in accounting - public

accounting, taxation, audit , management accounting.

• Accounting - collecting, analysing and communicating economic information for planning, control and decision making.

• Course focuses on the techniques, processes and principles involved with generating a variety of reports, statements and analyses. Also, covers issues affecting the accounting discipline and profession eg. Ethics, globalisation..

• Students gain knowledge about business generally and the context within which business operates, not just accounting.
