Storage Unit (Optional) 5940-00
The Storage Unit consists of a 4 x 4 storage unit for the system's output products (boxes). The unit operates in three-dimensional space. The X and Y axes use ball screw mechanisms driven by servo motors. On the other side, the Z axis is controlled by pneumatic controls.
The Storage Unit basically replaces the two standard side trays and accepts the boxes transferred by the Pneumatic Sorting Device, Model 5913. These boxes are then grabbed by the traveling tray with a vacuum system. The tray can then be moved to the desired case and pushed in place. Limit switches are installed in each case for PLC monitoring. All the inputs
and outputs of the unit are monitored or controlled through the DeviceNet network.
The Storage Unit comes with two supplementary Kinetix 2000 axis modules with cables and fiber optics to be added to the Digital Servo Drive, Model 5929-A.
