Flat Stanley Project __________ Due: On or before March 6th. Dear Parents, Our class is currently participating in the Flat Stanley project. Stanley is a beloved book character who becomes flat in the first of the Flat Stanley book series. Stanley discovers there are many advantages to being flat, especially when he can tour the world for the price of a postage stamp. For this project your child has been given a Flat Stanley to color and send on a vacation. He can travel with you, or be mailed to friends or family. Please have the host family for Stanley fill out the attached information letter about his adventures. If you need more than one, please let me know. Final projects are to create a display poster of Flat Stanley’s adventure(s). Find a creative way to display the information that was learned about the country/city that Stanley saw. You may include pictures, postcards, maps, decorations, etc. The filled-out informational page(s) about Stanley’s visit MUST be attached to the front of the board. These will be displayed on the classroom wall at Open House, so please do not attach anything on the back of the poster board. We will track our Stanleys' adventures on classroom maps, and this project will be for a Social Studies grade. Happy travels! Mrs. Sanchez
