1) Remove mudflap by 3 torx screw (T20) & 1 Phillips head screw. Refer to diagrams 1 & 2.

2) Peel plastic wheel arch trim away to top of bumper to expose 1 Phillips head screw hold-ing bumper to rear quarter panel. Refer to diagram 3 & 4.

Warning: Care must be taken in prying away the wheel arch trim from the bumper. Damage to wheel arch trim and clips can occur.

3) Remove 1 Phillips head screw holding bumper to rear quarter panel & 1 bolt under wheel arch trim. Refer to diagrams 4 & 5.

4) Remove plastic guard by 2 scrivets then remove bumper side retainer by 1 scrivet. Refer to diagrams 6 & 7.



5) Remove 2 scrivets under bumper. Refer to diagram 8.

6) Disconnect wiring harness at reverse lamps from behind the bumper. Refer to diagram 9.

7) Remove 2 caps and screws retaining bumper to rear quarter panel under tailgate. Unclip bumper from rear quarter panel to remove bumper from vehicle. Refer to diagram 10.

8) Remove rear bumper reinforcement by 4 nuts & 8 bolts. Refer to diagrams 11 & 12.

9) Release wiring harness from LHS of rear bumper reinforcement. Refer to diagram 13.

10) Release muffler from 2 rear rubber mounts. Refer to diagrams 14 & 15.

11) Remove and discard bolt connecting exhaust heat shield to chassis rail. Refer to diagram 16.

14) Loosely secure RHS Chassis Bracket (Item 4) to the 2 Wire Bolts with M10 Nut, Spring Washer and Flat Washer (Items 11,12 and 13). Refer to diagram 19.

Note: Ensure trailing arm of RHS Chassis Bracket is against inside face of chassis rail.

12) Insert 2 Wire Bolts (Item 20) from inside LHS chassis rail. Refer to diagram 17.

15) Insert LHS Chassis Backet (Item 5) under exhaust heat shield & loosely secure to the 2 Wire Bolts with M10 Nut, Spring Washer, and Flat Washer (Items 11,12 and 13).

Loosely secure exhaust heat shield to LHS Chassis Bracket with M6 Bolt & Washer, (Items 21 & 22). Refer to diagram 20.

13) Insert 2 Wire Bolts (Item 20) from inside RHS chassis rail. Refer to diagram 18.

16) Insert RHS Sidearm (Item 3) on a 45° angle into RHS chassis rail with weld nuts facing downwards. Once the rear weld nut is over the lip in chassis rail rotate the Sidearm clockwise to align the weld nuts with holes in the chassis rail. Trim sealant if required. Refer to diagram 21.

NOTE: RHS Sidearm must be positioned against inboard face of chassis rail.

17) Insert LHS Sidearm (Item 2) on a 45° angle into LHS chassis rail with weld nuts facing downwards. Once the rear weld nut is over the lip in chassis rail rotate the Sidearm clockwise to align the weld nuts with holes in the chassis rail. Trim sealant if required. Refer to diagram 22.

NOTE: LHS Sidearm must be positioned against outboard face of chassis rail.

18) Loosely secure LHS & RHS Sidearms to LHS & RHS Chassis Brackets using M12 Bolts, Spring Washers & Flat Washers (Items 17, 18 & 19). Refer to diagram 23.

19) Loosely secure LHS & RHS Sidearm Brackets (Items 6 & 7) to back panel using M8 Bolts (Item 16). Refer to diagrams 24 & 25.

20) Secure Towbar (Item 1) to Sidearms using M10 Bolts, Flat Washers & Spring Washers (Items 11, 12 & 14). Refer to diagrams 26, 27 & 28.

NOTE: Tighten bolts to the specified torque in the folllowing sequence.a) Towbar to Sidearms.b) Sidearm Brackets to back panel of vehicle.c) Chassis Brackets to Sidearms.

21) Locate middle recess section on the rear bumper. Measure 10mm in from the top, outer radius and cut out the section shown. Align bottom edge of cut out with bumper profile line. Refer to diagram 29.

22) Fit Bumper Trim (Item 24) to cut out edge and trim excess length. The joint must be at the centre of the lower edge. Refer to diagram 30.

23) On the inside face, in the centre of the rear bumper, mark and cut out flush, a 100mm section of the rib. Refer to diagram 31.

25) Locate the four metal bumper retaining brackets attached to the back panel of the vehicle. Bend down the centre tab on each of them to ensure a tight hold of the bumper. Refer to diagram 33 and 34.

24) On right hand side of the rear bumper, on the inside face, mark and cut out flush, the section of the rib shown. Refer to diagram 32.40mm



26) Using Trailer Plug Stud Plate (Item 25) as a template, align outer hole with centre-line of RHS reverse lamp. Mark and drill ø5mm holes. Refer to diagram 34.

Note: Trailer Plug Stud Plate (Item 25) needs to be positioned on the flat section of the bumper.

27) Position Trailer Plug Stud Plate (Item 25) on outside face of bumper and Trailer Plug Nut Plate (Item 26) on inside face of bumper and secure with two M5 x 12mm Screws and Spring Washers (Items 27 & 28). Refer to diagram 35.

28) Refit muffler to rubber mounts.29) Refit bumper and all related parts and fasteners in reverse order of removal.

30) Apply firm even pressure to secure the plastic Hitchbox Collar (Item 23) to the Towbar.

31) Attach the Tongue (Item 8) to the Towbar using the Pull Pin and R-Clip (Item 9 & 10).

31) To prevent rattle attach the M10 Bolt and M10 Nut (Item 15 & 13) to the under side of the Towbar. Refer to step 27 & figure 2 for further detail.

33) When not towing, remove items 8, 9 and 10, store in a safe place within the vehicle so as to avoid injury.

34) Install Anti-Rattle Bolt and Nut.

Note:1. To install Anti-Rattle Nut and Bolt, finger tighten the M10 Nut (Item 13) up to head of M10 Bolt (Item 15).

2. Secure the M10 Bolt to the under side of the Towbar. Refer to figure 2.

3. When tightened, use the M10 Nut to lock the Bolt into position. Refer to figure 2.
