Team Training - Getting your ideal "body back" for summertakes a serious commitment. Why put all the pressure onyourself, when you can work with a team? Get signed up andget motivated with the new Team Training! Team Training issmall group personal training that emphasizes cardiovascularendurance as well as strength-based workouts. TeamTraining is offered on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:30AMand Thursdays at 5:30PM. Take advantage of this grouptraining and experience the benefits of personal training at amuch lower rate!

Spring Into Fitness - Spring Into Fitness is a program that rewards members whoreach their own fitness goals. For $80.00, members have the opportunity to receivea fitness assessment, check in with personal trainers on a weekly basis, and winsome ($50) of their money back by completing their fitness goals. This programsruns for nine weeks from April 11 until June 13th, and because registration has beenextended, it's not too late to sign-up! FREE Golf Clinics - On April 25th and May 2nd, local professional golfer andWeinstein JCC fitness instructor, Tre Craig, will be hosting golf clinics from 2:00 -3:30PM. These FREE clinics will consist of swing instruction, putting lessons, and afunctional golf workout. Click on the flyer to the right for more information.

Upcoming Kids Indoor Triathlon - Stay tuned for a Kids IndoorTriathlon with pre-race training in late May/early June! This race will take place entirely onWeinstein JCC property and will consist of a 200 yard swim, 4 mile bike ride, and a 1 milerun.

Summer may be right around the corner, but right now it's time to "spring" into shape! What better way to dothat than to hop in the pool? The aquatics team has already noticed a steady increase in lap swimmers,which is awesome! We would like to remind all of our pool patrons that with the influx of lap swimmers, it isimportant that everyone practice proper lap swimming etiquette.Here are a few swimming reminders:

1. Check the schedule. Always check the pool schedule before you come toswim because if we have designated programming on our schedule, thenthe lanes will not be available for your use.

2. Split a lane. If you arrive on the pool deck and all lanes are full, feel free toapproach the lifeguard or your fellow lap swimmers and ask to split a lane.This means that one lane will be divided in half, using the black line thatruns down the center of the lane as the median.

3. Circle swim. If more than two swimmers are in a lane, circle swim needsto be initiated. This means that as you are swimming back and forth, youstay to the right side of the lane at all times. Feel free to ask the lifeguard onduty if you have any questions about circle swimming.

Come and join Dolphin Club & Tuckahoe Village RecreationAssociation as we compete together for the second season as TVDC- Dolphins! We will be holding multiplesocial events and team bonding experiences throughout the season, in addition to regular practices andmeets. Our team is a part of GRAL (Greater Richmond Aquatic League). Most of our swim meets are held onWednesday nights in June & July, with Champs in Late July- Early August (TBA). All communication will bedone through email; please don't leave messages with the coaches or lifeguards. Practice schedules areavailable at either Weinstein JCC or Tuckahoe Village Recreation Association. For those swim teammembers attending Camp Hilbert, practice will be offered in place of daily swim lessons, andtransportation is provided to the swim meets with proper permission from parents.

.recreation Fall and winter months are often the times that we see ourselvespacking on a little extra weight. We can attribute that to a numberof factors, from the delicious holiday season to merely not wantingto venture out into winter temperatures to exercise. As we movefrom cooler to warmer weather, it often becomes a biteasier for some of us to find options to get our daily doseof exercise. Here at the Center, that exercise can beaccomplished through one of our weekly Group Exercise classesor working out in our Fitness Center, playing pickleball or workingwith a personal trainer, swimming a few laps in one of our state-of-the-art saltwater pools or even running a scenic route outsidearound the building. No matter which activity you prefer, just make it a goal to get moving. Now is thetime to "spring into fitness" and get ourselves ready for the summer!

Our Kids' Place children are eagerly anticipating the arrival of warmer weather! They know thatthey'll have more chances to go outside, run around and be active during their extended outdoorplay times. They'll also enjoy being outside at summer camp, which is quickly approaching!Specialty Camps and Camp Hilbert are filling up quickly. For more information on our wonderfulcamps click here.
