January 7th I have obviously taken writing or an English course every year since the first grade. I was not intensely writing, however, until about my junior year of high school when I took multiple AP classes. In each class, at least three essays were required for each exam. Thus, I became very skilled in writing long essays in short amounts of time. I also became very skilled at the “fluff” technique, which is adding extra information to your essay the may or may not support your point, but makes you look knowledgeable. In my first semester, I had a very high grade in my Writing 1101 course, thus I expect nothing less this semester. I feel that I am a strong writer and I plan to keep my 4.0. This is a great overview of what you have accomplished in relating to writing classes. It seems like you are a very experienced writer. I feel like this will be a great class to test your skills in. 5 Characteristics of “Good Writing” 1. Correct Grammar 2. Spelling/Punctuation 3. Transitions/Flow 4. Straight forward (Point is obvious) 5. Strong background information

I have obviously taken writing or an English course every year since the first grade. I was not intensely writing, however, until about my junior year of high school when I took multiple AP classes. In each class, at least three essays were required for each exam. Thus, I became very skilled in writing long essays in short amounts of time.
