The contents of my kit. First aid guide, bandages, gauze, disposable gloves, cotton tip applicators, antibiotic packets, cold compress, alcohol wipes, finger splints, adhesive tape roll and tweezers.

Bandages: 30 - 3”adhesive bandages,50 – 2 ¼” adhesive bandages, 20 spot bandages, 10 butterfly closures, 6 – 2”x2” gauze pads, 2 – 4”x4” gauze pads, and a hurt free wrap.

30 Alcohol wipes and 2 pairs of protective gloves.

Not a requirement for my kit but included is a cold compress.

Tweezers and scissors.

Emergency Situation # 1 : Puncture wound from a splinter

First make sure that the environment is safe, and then check on the person.

Obtain consent from the person to use first aid on them.

Put on your disposable gloves. Remove the splinter with your tweezers. Clean the area with an alcohol wipe. If there is bleeding, apply a bandage.

Emergency Situation # 2 : Possibly broken finger First make sure your environment is safe, and

then check on the person. Obtain consent from the person to use first aid

on them. Put on your disposable gloves. If there is bleeding use gauze to compress the

wound. Then use the splints to stabilize the finger. Use

some of the hurt free wrap to wrap the splints in place.

Make sure the person seeks immediate medical attention.

Emergency Situation # 3 : An open laceration Make sure that the environment is safe, and then

check on the person. Obtain consent from the person to use first aid

on them. Put on your disposable gloves. Depending on the depth, call 911. Use gauze to cover the wound. Apply direct pressure until the bleeding stops. Cover the gauze with the hurt free bandage. Continue the previous three, until bleeding stops

or help arrives.
