WeVideo Title and End Slides

• Be in Timeline (Advanced)• Click on Text button• Need to add Title slide and End slide• Add title slide at beginning of the video: include book

title/author, video creator’s name and who narrated (if not same as creator)

• End slide, type where you got your photos – in your Google Drive , you should have credit document

• If you forgot to copy/paste url of photos, see next slide

Find url of photos

• Open your Google Document of credits (or create new doc if needed)

• In a different tab, be in WeVideo• You will pretend you are going to import the photos in

WeVideo• Click on upload, find photos in your google drive• Do not import the photo, but right click on it (works on

computers, but not always chromebooks)• From the right-click menu, select copy url• Go back to your credit document tab and paste the url• Do this for each photo you used

Publish WeVideo• Preview video to verify all is good before publishing• Click on Publish tab• Check that Google Drive icon is colored (it may already be colored, so do

not click on it unless it is gray)• You may need to scroll down to click on green Publish video button• It may ask if you want to rename video (if you never named it), name it the

title of your book• First time you publish it may ask for feedback, you rate it and can write

comments, then click Send• It may say “Thank you” you click ok• Your video will be processing on the right; it may take several minutes.

While you wait, you may practice keyboarding, work on assignments, or help others.

• Once done processing, it will be saved in your Google Drive

1. Go to your Google Drive2. Go to Apps3. Choose Youtube – do not type in the

url web address bar youtube’s address, you need it to link to your Google Drive

Start Youtube Upload

• In your Youtube tab, click on the upload button in the upper right hand corner

• Youtube may ask you to set up your channel if you have not done this before

• Use your username 30XXXXX first; if that isn’t available, do your username plus initials

• Make sure to change to unlisted, and click to upload button (gray box with white arrow inside).

Navigate to your google drive folder and choose your video – needs to have .mp4 at the end of the name – many times in the

“recent” folder

While Processing…….

• You can rename your video• You can add description• Under advanced settings can change some

choices

Open New Tab and Go to Chrome Store

Search goo.gl url shortener

• Click green button to add for free• Click ok to add

Go Back to YouTube TabClick Done to Confirm

Click on your Video url

Scroll down to see below your video. Click on Share (in gray) and your youtube address appears. Copy your youtube address that is

below the share button.

Go to Viewpure

• Be sure to have copied your Youtube video url address

• Open a new tab• Type url address www.viewpure.com• Paste your Youtube video address in the

textbox and click the Create button• Your video now appears without the extra

Stay in your Viewpure tab. Go to your extensions

button (usually little green button

with square around it.

Choose goo.gl url shortener, and then choose QR Code

Making QR Code in Document• After you click on extension then QR Code, click

on the actual QR code image and it appears on a new page.

• Copy the image by right clicking and choosing copy image

• Go to Google Drive and create a new document• Paste QR code image in the new Google

document• Go back to Viewpure tab• Click on extension again and copy url address of

shortened address by clicking on the words COPY• Go to Google document and paste url address

Add Final Details

• Be in your Google document that has your QR Code and shortened address

• Insert a picture of your book – you click on Insert, image, then locate your book cover in your Google Drive and insert it. You can go back to the Library Online catalog and copy it again and paste in the document

• Type the title and author of the book• Type “Video By” then your name• Rename your document by typing your name and the words
