Walter RC Hobby city are the distributors of SERPENT in AUSTRALIA and the suppliers of this beautiful piece of workmanship to me.
Here is a rundown of the beast at hand, on paper and with its success in Europe and Japan by the factory drivers with the final prototype of late, things are looking real good for SERPENT’S F110-13 in this constantly growing class.
The new F110-13 Formula 1 is a1/10th scale EP high performance race car, based on the successful SERPENT 1/10 and 1/12 pan car platforms.
The joy, excitement, speed and performance of Formula 1 in a 1/10 scale package! A Full carbon fiber and aluminium F1 racing car with many set-up possibilities, Suitable for standard and Shorty 2S packs. The F110 can be raced, using rubber F104 tyres or foam tyres.
(I’m using RIDE R1 tyres to start with, and testing later with other compounds, except for the hard, as they will not be needed for any setup gain here in AUSTARLIA)
(It will pay to check with your club or powers that be in your state, area or country for information on the right tyres for your F1 racing.)
The kit includes racing chassis, FR and RR wing. BUT No tyres, wheels, electronics or body are supplied.
(It is said that all TAMIYA F104 body shells will fit and there is hear say of a specific body and tyres)

DETAILED.... specs of the SERPENT F110-13
-Carbon fiber chassis plate in 2mm Narrow chassis in high quality woven carbon fiber, stiff type, but enough flex to create more grip as needed. Machined section in the bottom to allow use of battery tape
-Chassis and holders fit Shorty and Normal packs The F 110-13 is designed in such way that you can use either type of battery. In case you use the Shorty packs, you have space to put the battery in the middle and the receiver and ESC on either side. In case of a standard 2S pack, the kit includes the 2 carbon side-plates, so the ESC and receiver can be mounted on the side of the chassis, still centrally to retain a perfect balance. For both situations, the right battery-holders are supplied.
-Strong front nylon wing which fits most common lexan wings The nylon front bumper / wing mount sits flush with the chassis and mounts rigidly with 2 large screws to the chassis. The bumper will absorb hard frontal crashes and mounts the lexan top wing, of which most commonly used ones fit easily. The lexan front wing is secured with 4 small parker screws. 2 lexan wings included high and medium down force. The front body post is molded in as a integral part of the bumper.
-Front track rod suspension with lower carbon wishbones The fully adjustable front suspension allows for camber and caster changes, as well as toe and roll center adjustment. The manual shows a good easy starting point as base set-up. The lower wishbones are in durable carbon fiber, but allow for enough flex. The upper track rods are used to change the set-up to your demands. By changing length of the rods and playing with shims, many set-ups can be tried.
-Durable spring-loaded steering blocks with pivot balls The steering blocks are spring loaded on the kingpin, and feature pivot balls for adjustment and create super smooth suspension travel . Various optional springs are available for finer adjustments.
-Adjustable ride height to suit both rubber and foam tyres The chassis offers the possibility to easily change the ride height with spacers. The spacers needed are already included, 1, 2 and 3 mm ones.
-Super strong machined aluminium servo holder and strong servo saver The servo-holder is a superbly machined jewel, in T6 aluminium, lightweight and very rigid. Grey anodized and lightened. The mount doubles as front suspension holder and fits both regular and low profile servos. A nice spring-loaded servo-saver is included.
-Large volume main central shock absorber RCCX type A pivot ball mounted big bore hydraulic central shock absorber (RCCX type) connects to upper front and rear assembly. The small shock tower offers 3 holes for set-up changes. The membrane type shock absorber feature a hardened shock rod, smooth o-ring and shim package and a threaded housing to enable spring preload changes with very small increments. The shock spring is selected and grinded flat for equal action. More option part springs types are available to fine tune your set-up.
-Spring-loaded Link type rear suspension with single tube The spring-loaded pivot ball mounted side-links interact with the single silicone oil filled tube and the central upper shock absorber to create maximum grip with the rear tyres.
-Carbon fiber body mount and top deck The body mount doubles as side spring holder and tube holder. Strong nylon body mounts with fine tuning nuts.
-Captured pivot ball connection The captured pivot ball links the rear pod with the chassis.
-Pan car style rear end with a strong carbon fiber lower pod and rear plate and aluminium power pod sides. The right aluminium motor holder fits most commonly used motors. The light aluminium rear axle seats in bearings in nylon ride height inserts. All 5 types of ride height inserts are included in the kit.
-Strong and light aluminium rear axle The light aluminium rear axle is more durable and comes close to the weight of a carbon fiber one ( which sells as optional)
-Durable and light ball-differential, and light aluminium hex wheel-hubs The ball-raced ball differential is super smooth and easy to assemble, with light hardened steel plates. The hexagon diff and wheel adaptor are also lightweight and spin super true.
HOW TO ADJUST THE BALL-DIFF: In order to tighten or loosen the ball-diff:
Push a pin or a Allen tool through the Diff Hub slot into the hole of the adjusting nut Turn clockwise to tighten or Anticlockwise to Loosen the ball diff
-Large durable white rear wing The high down force rear wing with 2 layers connects to the carbon rear plate. Rear wings from common other brands will also fit, TAMIYA, 3RACINGS F113 and FGX, to name a few.
