Objectives of Summer Internship Program

1. To familiarize with construction industry planning, design,

and field operations.

2. To introduce with the interrelations among the various

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Safety:

Safety shoes to be used by all the workers on site

A key recommendation is to use helmet and safety jackets on site for safety

2. Stores:

Stacking of Steel to be done on an elevated platform rather than on the ground.

Proper Covering to avoid corrosion & easy handling during rainy season

Cleaning of cement stores & properly stacking cement bags to avoid its spoilage from

rain water

3. Execution:

Pouring of concrete in retaining wall should not be done at a height greater than 1.5

meters.

Adequate curing has to be carried out as shrinkage cracks are being formed in slabs.

Hooks to be bended properly 45o in columns.

The steel yard can be organized properly separating the waste steel from the stacked

material and proper cover for steel yard should be maintained protecting the steel from

unexpected weather condition.

There is a problem of mosquito at Quality lab as well as at labor camp so there is a

chance of viral infection being spread.

Proper Tracking of Progress as per prepared schedule.

Prepare Monthly Progress Report (MPR) & Minutes of Meetings.

CONCLUSION:

Introduction:

Summer Training was a golden opportunity for learning and self-development and

really experiencing the real scenario of the company environment. It helped me to

Summer training helped me to learn about project planning, project tracking and

monitoring, daily/weekly/monthly status reports, site execution, etc

Preparation of daily, weekly & monthly project report, RCC pour Chart,

Site Planning and Site Execution & Labor Handling.

Role of organization:

The organization’s role in making me understand the practical approach in construction

industry is very important. I was given full liberty and time to analyze and understand

the project which helped me a lot. My mistakes were taken as a learning milestone by

the organization and it helped me to understand its consequences. The organization

provided me with a conducive environment where it was possible for me to work as an

intern and where I can learn as well as contribute to the organization. The organization

also gave me opportunity where I learned the interdisciplinary relationship as how

important it is for the smooth construction and timely finishing of the project.
