Final Reflection Nutrition 303 I think we covered a lot of information in 303, but it was interesting because I was able to learn how food operations and other organizations work in order to provide high quality service to customers and clients. The information I learned is definitely valuable because I can not only apply it to future jobs as a registered dietitian but I can also apply them in other scenarios such as building my own personal business. One of my personal experiences is that I work in a family run restaurant. Therefore, most of the information I learned during class I was actually able to see it in person at my job. Many things made sense and often times I could come up with an explanation at why some of their methods didn’t work or what things were lacking and were causing stressful situations and even personal problems. I enjoyed learning all these information and as I said before, I will use it to help other organizations grow and also to run my business in an efficient way in order to benefit my future clients and my professional career.

I enjoyed learning all these information and as I said before, I will use it to help other organizations grow and also to run my business in an efficient way in order to benefit my future clients and my professional career. Another thing I think was very helpful was the class project because my group and I had to go beyond the book and power points to actually create and organize and organization. I learned about the population, I learned about the market, I learned about costing menu, menu standardization and haccp plan. Some suggestions for future classes that I think would be very helpful are in-class short videos in food production and if possible a field trip to the actual location. Also, if there are extra credit opportunities, maybe have one on interviewing professionals in the food production field to enhance the student learning. Thank you Linda, I enjoyed your class and I learned a lot!
