Recruitment is said to be the initial in the
process which continues with selection and
ceases with the placement of the candidate.
Recruitment is the next step in the
procurement function, the first being the
manpower planning. Recruitment makes is
possible to acquire the number and types of
people necessary to ensure the continued
operation of the organization.
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS IN TULIP
Recruitment policy of the company is very transparent, flexible and need based.
Recruitment policy includes the data bank,
identification of requirement (Human Resource Planning and the actual requirements ought by the department).
The very first step of recruitment process is
searching of candidates and that is done through
forming the perfect formation of job description and
job specification which helps the organization to
select the best employee is selected.
As the job analysis has been made the people are
been informed about the vacancies through two
ways:
Internal recruitment
External recruitment
Internal recruitment: Promotion : promotion has various
advantages like its motivates the employees, builds morale and even it becomes easy for the organization to recruit the employee as the information is readily available.
Transfer : Transfer also takes place in the organization and many a times transfer is given with the promotion so that employee is happy to transfer

their advertisements in various websites such as timesjob.com, monster.com etc.

Screening of employees : to make the process

interviews are been arranged by the HR
The interview rounds include : Telephonic interview: Here the employees are asked
questions on the phone. Eg. They are asked to introduce themselves where the confidence level and fluency of the employee is been looked after and thus is selected for the next round
Group discussions / presentation : Here, the
employees who are selected at the time of telephonic interview are asked to come for the second round which is group discussion where the candidates are given a topic to discuss or to present on a certain topic on and panel has to select the candidates
Personal interview : This is the final round where the employees are asked question personally and final decision is taken by the appropriate authority.
Before the final selection candidate’s background check is been done.
Physical examination also takes place as it is helps the organization to know that the employee is fit for the organization.
Job offer / selection:
the final step is to offer the job to the candidates where the candidate is been given the letter of appointment it basically contains the dare of joining. This is selection of a candidate
