Our team provides oversight and support associated with controls, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements for

WORKING TOGETHER:7-DAY CHECK COMPLIANCE

RULEDid you know:• The Securities and Exchange Commission

requires that all variable life disbursements are mailed within 7 calendar days of receipt of the in-good order request. 

• The 7-Day clock begins on the date the request is received in good order (in-good order date = day 1)

• The Controls team performs Quality Review on 100% of these disbursements to ensure compliance with the Rule. 

• 7-Day Compliance reports are included with our Quarterly 38a- Reporting

CLIENT RELATIONS

Our team: • Reviews, investigates, analyzes, and

recommends resolutions to customer sales, service, and replacement complaints in accordance with regulatory agencies (SEC, FINRA and State Insurance Departments) guidelines, legal requirements and approved authority limits. Communicate with policyholders, advisors, field management and legal counsel.

• In 2012, we responded to 958 formal complaints, as well as providing internal recommendations for other Charlotte Operations Center functional areas.

• We also manage 750+ ongoing settlement cases, as well as providing document support to the Law Department, Customer Relations in NY and SOC.
