INSTALLATION GUIDE

-The installation of this Midlet depends entirely on the device. Each device

manufacturer that supports MIDP must provide a mechanism for transferring

MIDlets onto its devices.

-You may install Fina Points Calculator 2008 on Mobile Phones Devices,

regarding there capabilities, so they should provide the followed support

characteristics in order to properly run the application.

Nokia Installation methods:

1-Bluetooth Connectiona) Using Nokia PC Suite with the application install option.

-Both on intern device memory or extern memory card, if is available.

b) Using file transfer within bluetooth device

-On Local device folders available.

2-USB Data Cable Connection-Only on extern memory card if is available.

This is an easy way to installthe application.Connect both Mobile Phone and Computer via USB Data Cable, the device

memory card should be recognized as an external Drive in the Windows Explorer.

Select the Drive and open it, finally copy the Mobile Fina Points.jar file into the

desired folder.

Running Mobile Fina Points Application

In order to run the application after a successful installation, you should go to the

previously selected install folder and select Mobile Fina Points file and proceed asprompted. A screen must appear and you can start to work with your calculations.

The Layout Screen may be not likely the bellow screens, dont panic because the Screen

is Device dependent.

Working with Mobile_Fina_Points:

Format field (mm:ss.cc) Min Value=00:00:00 , Max Value=59:59.99

Two Modes are available: Key # toggles between the two modes.

Edit Mode: This is the default Mode. Editing time should swap to Enter Timeautomatically the calculation Type Select Box.

This is a numeric masked field so you dont need anymore to insert separators : nor

select the numeric input for editing. Example: if you have the cursor on the left of first

digit and press 012334 keys the result would be 01:23:34.

Press LEFT OR RIGHT keys for navigate within the field deleting characters has noeffect on this field.

Pressing the OK command the calculation will be performed, if the resulting points

are in the allowed range (see Max and Min values for Enter Points Field) or the input

value has a valid value or range, Ex: 00:00:00, 61:20.00, 15:61:22 are not valid

time inputs.

Function Mode: In this mode and pressing the corresponding shortcut key shouldincrement and decrement the actual time and perform the calculation.

Only performs a calculation that results in 1 to 1500 points range.

7-Enter Points Field:Commands available:SET START , SET END , SET STEP and OK

Format field (9999) Min Value=1 , Max Value=1500

Keys and Shortcut keys using keyboard pad:a) Shortcut key * toggles between EDIT MODE and FX MODE.

b) If Enter Time or Enter Points fields is selected and field is set to function FX

MODE shortcut keys are available.

1. If Enter Time field is selected.

Key 3: Adds 1 cent of second to the actual time.

Key 6: Adds 10 cents of second to the actual time.

Key 9: Adds 1 second to the actual time.

Key 2: Adds 1 minute to the actual time.

Key 5: Sets actual Time to 1000 Points corresponding Time.

Key 8: Subtracts 1 minute the actual time

Key 1: Subtracts 1 cent of second to the actual time.

Key 4: Subtracts 10 cent of second to the actual time.

Key 7: Subtracts 1 second of second to the actual time.

2. If Enter Points field is selected.

Key 3: Adds 1 point to the current points.

Key 6: Adds 10 points to the current points.



Key 5: Sets to 1000 points the current points.

Key 8: Subtracts 1000 points to current points.

Key 1: Subtracts 1 point to current points.

Key 4: Subtracts 10 points to the current points.

Key 7: Subtracts 100 points to the current points.

Command BACK Ends Splash Screen and goes to Mobile Fina Points 2008 Screen.Command OK

1-If a List options is selected, opens the select List

2-If Enter Time or Enter Points fields is selected perform calculations.

Command VIEW LAST Shows last calculations.

Command VIEW TABLE.

1-If Enter Time Type Select Box is selected shows Points Table.

2-If Enter Points Type Select Box is selected shows Times Table.

Set Start, End, Step values and Events selection prior executing command.

a) Events selection is available when Event Select Box is selected, selection is

made by marking the desired events.

b) SET START, SET END and SET STEP are available when Time orPoints fields is selected, END value should be greater than START value.

Command ADD NEW TIME BASE. Select a valid .ups file in the Open Browser to

add a new user Time Base. You can define your personal Time Base just copying the

text from the given example file POR ABS NR 2009.usp witch can be edited with

WordPad editor to an empty text file. For a valid UPS file, only the underlined fields

between quotes should be changed (see bellow example) and the file should always be

named with extension .ups in order to be detected with the Open Browser in future.

As you can see only the name field in any line and basetime field in any EVENT

line, should be changed in order to get a valid USP file format.

Notes: The underlined is only for example proposes so when editing fields use onlynormal characters. Field index should not ever be changed, basetime fields should

always have the 00:00:00 format and the body for each BASETIME group should

always kept together. The EVENTS order in each BASETIME group is irrelevant as

long as its index value is maintained, for example the 50 Free EVENT should always

have 0 for its index field. Copy the valid anyname.ups file to any folder location on

memory card for application availability.

This is a valid example for Portuguese National records Men and Women and both
