Today

We have several things to do:

1 – You will fill in the production milestones & schedules for your practical work

2 – If you have started filming & editing you will be allowed to continue this

3 – if you have not started filming & editing you will be paired up in order to move forward

OUT OF TIMELike Denzel, we’re out of time.

We need to film & edit everything over the next 4 weeks (including today).

Time planning

In the film & TV industry we need to plan our time.

We need to make lots of things come together and happen at the right time, so it is important to figure out what we need to do, and when we need to do it by.

Page 8: Film & TV

Milestones

To do this we plan out what we need to do in the order we need to do it. We call these milestones.

For example, what is the 1st thing we need to do? Write a script or film?

Page 9: Film & TV

Milestones

All of you need to write out the list of things you need to do in the order you need to do them.

You have 5 minutes.

Schedule

We now need to plan what we’re doing on a week by week basis, from our planning to our editing.

What would we have done in week 1?

You have 5 minutes…

Make sure your name is written on your piece of paper.

Hand it in to Iain at the front.

Task 2As we’ve run out of time, we will have to work together in groups of 2 or 3. If someone has already started filming, you will continue with this idea. Otherwise you will need to quickly decide whose idea is the best to do in the time you have.

These will be the groups:

Kaysha, Jade, Simon Jakub, Ryan Kayleon, Richard Stratford, Glenn, Shane Chloe, Hollie, Lucy

Task 3

Now you have decided whose idea you are doing you will all need to decide who will be responsible for:

1. Booking the equipment, location & actors

2. Producing the storyboard3. Writing the script and the proposal

All your planning & pre-production must be submitted before next week. Use this time wisely….
