Third Magazine Analysis

This Bollywood movie magazine has a similar structure to the filmfare and time magazines. The colours used in the background are again quite dull as thy are in the other Bollywood movie magazines, the background is grey and the writing used has the running colour scheme pink and yellow, the colours stand out but the audience has to focus on the writing to be able to read it properly. This is why the text on the bottom left side of the page is in black, as it is what the audience can see clearly from afar and is about the main article and actress in the magazine.

The masthead is the largest piece of text on the front cover and stands out a lot, it is in pink an yellow which stands out amongst the dull grey background. This magazine front cover has many similarities to the other two magazines ‘fimlfare’ and ‘time’ this is because the website, issue and date are in small text along to the top of the page.

The image used on the magazine’s front cover is yet again the biggest thing on it and stands out the most as the image does on the other Bollywood movie magazines. The image is of ‘Kareena Kapoor’ she is a very famous Indian actress; the fact that she is the only thing the audience can really see on the front cover implies that people will want to read the magazine to see what the article says about her. The actresses hair in the image is wind swept and her make up has been done to perfection, with the use of the smokey eye effect. This makes her seen very provocative and may attract the audience to buy the magazine.

The right hand side of the magazine many key points and stories of what's in the magazine are portrayed. It includes information about many very popular Indian actors and actresses. The colours used here are pink and yellow, this is seen as a running theme throughout not only this magazine but other Bollywood movie magazines, whereby the colours are quite bright and are used throughout the magazine front cover.
