Avengers Assemble

As you can see on the poster and in the screengrab from the trailer the title is the same in both, different colours but the same. The colour choices fit the genre of the film as it is an action and adventure film and both of the titles look as if they have been carved from metal. This fits the genre as metal has connotations of being strong and the avengers are heroes so should be seen as strong.

1.

2. Number 2 is a screenshot from the very start of the trailer this part of the trailer matches the genre type as in action films there are always innocent civilians around needing to be saved and by showing the innocent first it lays out the storyline for you, that civilians in New York are going to be in danger and then you assume the avengers are going to save them. In the poster there aren't any civilians in the picture but the blown up buildings and the crashing planes imply that the civilians have taken cover to be saved by the avengers.

3.

This is a panning shot it continues round in the trailer to show all of the characters in a circle, the ages of the actors ranges however is mainly looking in their twenties. This is a desirable age for many audiences, this film attracts many audiences as it started off as a comic and so will have the audience of 45+ who used to read the comics and then the younger age range of 13yrs old to 45 as the characters can be seen as attractive and desirable for teenagers and iconic to those who are younger . This shot is also links to the poster as it shows all the different characters in one go like the poster also having iron man centre left making him centre of attention, the trailer as well starts with iron man suggesting he is the main character or most prominent in this film.

The colours used in the poster and the trailer are very similar all blacks, greys, blues all dark colours, this implies that the topic and storyline as action and adventure films are generally around a bad event happening and the fades are all to black which also fits with the genre.

loveactually

TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wj4dHXsza0g

The above collection of screenshots are from the trailer for loveactually, like the poster it shows a glimpse of all of the main characters and gives a rough idea of the storylines. The trailer consists of lots of different clips from the film where all the characters are happy and loving which again fits with the pictures on the poster.

This is a screenshot of the opening image of the trailer, the title is similar to the posters title in the way that a part of the title is in red. It is also the same as the credits on the poster half black and half red this similarity would make it easier for a viewer to identify the trailer before knowing what it was for.

This is a romantic comedy so usually the target audience would be teenage(13) to young adult girls (25max) This film is rated a 15 as there is some inappropriate content so the target market would be 15-25year old women. The poster draws in the target audience by bright and upbeat colours on the poster, having a white background makes the other colours stand out(red and black). Everyone on the poster and in the trailer is happy as the film is based around love and this is a stereotypically interesting topic to girls and both the trailer and the films poster represent this by using the colour red as red has connotations of desire and love. The trailer’s fades are fades to white which also suggests a happier genre.
