Jennifer's body is a comedy horror film based on a newly possessed cheer leader who kills her male classmates and her friend strives to stop her. This narrative is in many ways similar to our chosen narrative for our film. With a main possessed killer killing members of the opposite sex in their environment an having to be stopped by their closest friend.

Lighting:Here lighting is used to show the striking of the vampire and the blood on the walls from the victim without making the shot of the scene too difficult. This would be a useful effect of lighting for our opening scene in particular because we don’t intend to show the vampires upper/full face, we only intend to show him on camera from his mouth downwards, to keep the audience interested into finding out the vampires true identity later on in the movie.

Casino Royale is a film from the British Action/Crime/Thriller James Bond film franchise, based on Secret Agent James Bond set out on his first mission as 007 (Daniel Craig) to defeat a weapons dealer in a high stakes game of Casino Royale hence the name.

Lighting/ shots:The shots in the first two frames we could maybe use in our corridor scene but from the mouth downwards. The third frame would be effective as to establishing the vampire’s first victim in the school. The fourth frame due to the low lighting would be great for our opening sequence because it shows the outline of the vampires body and the fact he’s stalking her whilst hiding his face/ identity in the dark due to the lighting. The next four frame shots would be effective if used in our opening sequence because they keep focus on the victim who’s being stalked and then bring interest back to the stalker. Alongside the fact that the shot going from a long shot facing straight on, to a Medium-close up when moving to the right hand side. Having shot the stalker in low lighting portrays him as a dangerous character which is exactly what the vampire in our narrative is despite his attempts to hold back committing the killings.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is an Action/Drama/Fantasy TV series based on a young woman called Buffy having the fate to have to destroy vampires, demons and other forces of darkness and was created by Joss Whedon. The first three shots I think will be extremely effective if used in our opening sequence as they would help hold the mystery of the identity of the stalker and I think are good shots to introduce the stalker into the scene. The next three shots a viewer would view uneasily as they would fear the stalker getting hold of the young woman. The next shot is a shot where the stalker walks closely across the camera intruding the scene and the next is the first show of face of the stalker which keeps the viewer more intrigued by the scene and brings more interest to the stalker.
