GIF
• A bitmapped image that is smaller than a PNG these are mostly used on websites because of theyre quick load time and moving images
PNG
• A Bitmapped image that was made as a replacement to GIF’s they hold more pixels and can be letter heads on letters or small icons on websites they are commonly used on websites because of they’re quick load time
Jpeg
• The most common form of Bitmapped image a JPEG can be viewed on almost every computer can run a JPEG so they are Brilliant for office work
BMP
• Bitmaps or pixmaps are a image formed from pixelisation most bitmaps however can not be expanded beyond and A5 image without pixelisation
Vector
• Instead of pixels vector files are made out of points and lines this means if you were to keep expanding the picture without getting pixelisation however this format is not on the majority of computers so it will only be viewable by certain people.
