in FFA? Livestock judging,ag sales and barnyard day
Why did you join FFA? I joined FFA because it wasa family tradition. FFA has
brought me a lot of awe-some experiences such asthe state and national con-ventions.
What do you like mostabout FFA? Being in FFAhas been amazing. I lovethe career developmentevents and the nationalconvention. I enjoyed be-ing a delegate and compet-
ing on teams such as gen-eral livestock judging andag sales. I also enjoy theFFA barnyard day becausewe bring our baby sheep. Its fun to show them to thelittle kids.
How has FFA helped yougrow as a person? FFA hastaught me more than justagriculture. It has taughtme to be responsible, given
me knowledge about theanimals and improved myspeaking skills. FFA hasmade me a better personand brought many new op-portunities to me.
What advice would yougive to younger students?Do what you dream of do-ing! If you try hard, no onecan get in your way.
What are your plans forthe future? I plan to attendSouth Dakota State Univer-sity and major in animalscience and pre-veterinaryscience. I would like to be-come a veterinarian.
Joshua ChristofferOffice: PresidentGrade: 12Other offices/activities
in FFA: My freshman year
I was on the meats teamand the novice parliamen-tary procedure team. Mysophomore year I was onthe meats team again andthe senior parliamentaryprocedure team. The meatsteam won state, so I got tocompete at nationals. Lastyear and this year Im onour senior parliamentary
procedure team; we earnedeighth last year at stateand we qualified for statethis year. I was on the farmmanagement team lastyear; we earned second atstate. Im looking forwardto farm management andmaking it to state againthis year. Ive also been tothree FFA summer camps.I was chapter historianas a sophomore and trea-surer last year. Im alsothe region vice presidentthis year.
Why did you join FFA? I was hesitant to join FFA,but my parents convincedme because they knew thatI would enjoy it and thatbeing in FFA is a good ex-perience to have.
What do you like mostabout FFA? What I likeabout FFA is that it opens
your eyes to the wholeworld, through agriculture. Not only that, but I havelearned a lot of useful skillsand had many opportuni-ties that I would have neverexperienced if I had not
joined FFA.How has FFA helped
you grow as a person? FFAhelped me unlock my lead-
ership and communicationabilities. I have also grownthrough the many interest-ing things I have learnedfrom the teams I have beenon. It has also helped meto not be afraid of being infront of people.
What advice would yougive to younger students? Iwould encourage others toget involved in somethingthat interests them be-cause FFA can open a tonof doors for the future . FFAis one of the best things toget involved in because ithas ample opportunities tolearn and grow.

back to the community. What do you like mostabout FFA? I love going tocompetitions and meetingnew people. Its so cool tosee all of the FFA jacketswalking around and knowthat they have a commongoal with you to helpbuild America through ag-riculture.

FFA taught me thatyou can never have enoughfriends, and you can con-stantly be making newones. FFA has also taughtme to think of others andhow I can help them in-stead of always thinkingabout me.
What advice would yougive to younger students? Go out and try somethingnew. If youre someonewho just plays sports or
just does things with thearts, you might not get thechance to see what thingslike FFA can do for you andwhat other interests youmay have. Whatever youdo, just have fun with it andenjoy the ride.
What are your plans forthe future? I plan to use theskills I have learned fromFFA to get into a four-yearcollege and eventually a
