Embracing, equipping and empowering persons to evangelize
Mission Moment:
Festival of Sharing has been moved to the
season of Lent this year. What a great oppor-
tunity to share the love of Christ with someone
in need by making a health kit, school kit or
donating toward the supplies for a cleaning bucket. Festival of Sharing is sponsored by Church
World Service. Look for more information coming soon with details on how to assemble a school
or health kit. We purchase the supplies for cleaning buckets in bulk, so if you'd like to donate
toward that, just mark your donation accordingly.
I’d also like to update you on Isaiah 58 this month. Isaiah 58 is a project funded by First Church
that works with area schools to provide clothes and hygiene items for students in need. We have
seen a surge in needs this year and it's been a blessing to have the resources to help supply
elementary students with shoes and coats, clothes for middle and high schoolers, and soap,
deodorant and toothpaste/toothbrushes for the middle school nurse's office. Thank you for your
generous support of this project.

February 2020
There are times in a person’s life when God calls one to leave one place in order to pursue a future that only He can see. These times are often filled with all kinds of emotions, from fear to faith, from doubt to certainty, from confusion to clarity. Like those who have gone before us, these times call us to trust in Jesus who promises to be with us always as He leads us into our tomorrows.
Our Treasurer, Merle Whetstone, has submitted his resignation effective January 1. We are grateful for his ministry to this church. Through Merle’s ministry, the Lord has provided careful stewardship
of our financial resources. His administrative gifts and atten-tion to detail have helped our Finance Team and our staff make wise decisions regarding our kingdom investments and funding for the many ministries of this local church. We’re grateful for his faithfulness, gifted administration, and his sacrificial love for this church. Thank you, Merle.
We trust that the Lord’s hand will guide him as he continues to serve this church in other capacities and in devoting more time for travel with his wife Romaine.
We’re also very pleased that Stacy Rife began serving as our Treasurer January 1. Stacy has been a part of our church for
several years, serving as a member of our 8:15 Praise and Worship team. In addition, she comes with extensive experience in the auto industry serving in car dealership financial systems. Welcome Stacy to our staff and the Finance team.

be unable to put down are by
Musser, Fabry & Joubert. Ann
Gabhart, and Frank Peretti are
two more familiar authors.
Jill Smith takes us to Jerusalem
and into the heart of King
Solomon. Hoping these are
enough to last
you through
