I am currently living in Virginia, USA studying Exercise and Sports Science on a soccer scholarship at Bluefield College. As a player I am a smart, technically sound attacker who can play in a number of positions. I have played as long as I can remember including playing at semi-professional level in both England and Australia. The many highly qualified and experienced coaches I have worked under have provided me with fantastic knowledge and an eagerness to always improve. I am passionate about coaching and have been involved as a coach since the age of 13. I intend on pursuing coaching as a full time profession once I graduate from college. I am looking for any and every opportunity to learn, coach and work within soccer throughout the year and particularly during the summer and winter college breaks. I began coaching at a young age, working for Brazilian Soccer Schools, assisting with sessions for younger players and with the running of school holiday programs and camps. I had been attending the elite sessions myself and the coaches had identified me as a potential leader and enjoyed my ability to demonstrate the many skills to the young players. I took on a larger role within these academies when the coach I had been working with started his own academy, The Premier Academy for Soccer Skills. I worked on a traineeship for a year where I would coach skills sessions and individual players, while still assisting with the more elite players. I saw more of the business side of the academy too as I was involved with the planning, advertising and running of the various programs and camps. In 2011 I received my first job as a Head Coach of the Westminster College women’s soccer program. I spent a full year with the team running training sessions, picking the teams and managing them on match day. I was also fortunate enough to be in charge of the development of girls progressing up from the reserve team and regularly gave them a chance to train and if possible play with the first team.

In2011IreceivedmyfirstjobasaHeadCoachoftheWestminsterCollegewomen’ssoccerprogram.Ispentafullyearwiththeteamrunningtrainingsessions,pickingtheteamsandmanagingthemonmatchday.Iwasalsofortunateenoughtobeinchargeofthedevelopmentofgirlsprogressingupfromthereserveteamandregularlygavethemachancetotrainandifpossibleplaywiththefirstteam.

InDecember2011ImovedbacktoEnglandwhereIattendedafootballperformanceprogramrunbyacademycoachesfromFulham,ReadingandthefirstteamstaffatHayesandYeading.Theprograminvolvedtrainingsessionstwicedaily,regularmatches,classroomsessionstowardsaDiplomainSport,andtheacquisitionofcoachingandleadershipqualifications.WhileinEnglandIcoachedwithintheFulhamFCdevelopmentcenter,ranclinicsandholidayprogramsforPlaymakersports,workedonholidaycampsatBishamAbbeyandvariousguestcoachingspotsatsmalllocalclubs.

AfterreturningtoAustraliaIbegancoachingfortheclubIwasplayingforatthetimeTheCoveFC.OverthespaceofthreeyearswiththeclubIwasheadcoachoftheUnder13,14,15and16teams,IworkedasanassistantfortheUnder18’sandstrengthandconditioningcoachfortheseniorteams.Irananacademysessiononceperweekforthemostgiftedplayersattheclubandranschoolholidayprogramsforchildrenofallages.

WhilelivinginPerth,WesternAustralia,IwasstudyingSportsScienceandFootballatEdithCowanUniversity.IwasgiventheopportunitytoworkasastrengthandconditioningcoachforthePerthGloryNationalYouthLeagueteamwhichinvolvedwarmupandcooldownsonbothmatchdayandtrainingsessions,prehabprotocol,andanalysisusingsportscodingequipmentonmatchday.
