Let's Be Good Neighbors!

Please be kind and considerate of our neighbors in

Stonebridge Creek (on the cafeteria side of the school).

Please do not park in front of driveways, or block the

regular traffic flow on the street. Please use the curbside

service offered at the front of the school where it is be-

coming more and more efficient and students are un-

loaded and loaded safely.

3rd graders, get your bikes ready to roll!

On Thursday, Feb. 27th, all 3rd graders are invited to bring or ride their bikes to school. With or without your bike you will participate in the FCE bike rodeo. It will be a morning of fun with plenty of information about bike safety and the Harris County Sheriff’s Department will be on site to demonstrate what bike SAFETY really means! The rodeo will take place on and around the track!

DROP OFF: If you bring your bike, please make sure to mark it with your NAME and your TEACHER’s name! When arriving at school, please look for a volunteer to tell you where to park your bike. Please do not use the bike racks!

PICK UP: When picking up your child’s bike after school, please park your car and walk with your child to the pick up place behind the school to get the bike. A volunteer will monitor the pick up starting at 12pm.

Bikes will not be monitored after 12:15pm by anyone at school!

Ready. Set. Rodeo! We will need parents to keep it roll-ing, so please, sign up here. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0C4AA5AD2BAB9-3rdgrade2 Yearbook Pictures Needed

We need your snap shots for the

yearbook! Group pictures are the

best. We have had a lot fun activ-

ities since school has started and

would love to include them in the

Yearbook. You can email them to

[email protected]. Make sure you include what

grade and class the students are in.

Thank You!!!

Bring your smartphone to the Casino Party! This year we will feature mobile bidding for the silent auction and neighborhood parties. You'll be able to bid while you throwing dice or hitting 21!!! We can't wait to see you there.

Dear Parents and Families, The Scholastic Book Fair will be at our school March 3rd-6th with special evening hours scheduled for Thursday, March 6th during Open House that will include face painting and book characters.

Our spring 2014 exciting theme is Book Fair Fiesta! We need volunteers to help put on a one-of-a-kind Book Fair.

If you have some time to help us at our Book Fair, please go online to www.fcpto.com/volunteer and sign up on SignUp Genius.

Our profits will go toward new books, and a visit by Bad Kitty author, Nick Bruel in May of this year.

Thank you, Mrs. Nickelson

During the week, we will have our Book Fair open Thurs-day, March 6th during Open House. Students and parents can stop by the library to shop and visit with book charac-ters, have their face painted and hear some of their favor-ite stories.

This year we have set our goal at $16,000 in sales. With your support at the book fair, we are able to purchase more books for our library and fund author visits. This is our only source of raising funds and we are grateful for your support at this time of year.

To help with the book fair, contact Mrs. Nickelson at 281-641-3406 or by email [email protected].

Our spring Book Fair will be held in the library March 3rd-6th. The book fair will not be open Friday due to Lucky Laps. The Book Fair will open at 7:30a.m. Students can shop before school if they have a parent. Once school has

started at 8:00, students will be allowed to come during their specials time all week. No learning time from home-rooms will be disrupted.

Science Supplies Needed

The science lab is in need of additional materials to re-

stock the supply closet. All teachers have access to these

materials throughout the year. We are in need of small,

clear plastic cups, paper plates and bowls, paper towels,

chalk, empty baby food jars, and salt. Thank you!

PLEASE VOLUNTEER AS A SCIENCE FAIR JUDGE

Fall Creek is participating in Humble ISD’s

district Science Fair this year for the first

time. Participation requires that we provide volunteers for

the judging exchange program. This helps eliminate any

parent-child judging conflicts. To participate, Fall Creek

must provide the names of volunteers willing to judge sci-

ence fairs at other elementary schools within the dis-

trict. Although you are not directly working at Fall Creek, it

is helping our school qualify for the judging exchange pro-

gram. The judges will need to be available through the

school day (8 am to 2 pm) and will be provided refresh-

ments and a lunch. The judging process is very guided and

simplified by helpful district employees and other volun-

teers that attend the fairs. For more information please

contact Cassie Young at [email protected].

To see the dates of the local science fairs and sign up to

volunteer please visit the link below. Thank you for your

support.
