Dear Readers Welcome to this edition of the Tradewinds Newsletter As we ramp up our efforts to bring a new facility to Orcutt I want to make sure OASIS members are up to date on our future planned operations at the new center You will be hearing and reading a lot about the new OASIS Center being a ldquocommunity centerrdquo That is true Technically it will be a facility that serves all demographicshellip just like the current Luis OASIS Senior Center does today If you look at our calendar yoursquoll see that multiple youth sports leagues hold their meet-ings and sign-ups at our facility Two different churches have Sunday school and bible studies in our classrooms Itrsquos where the Orcutt Mineral Society Orcutt Gar-deners Club Los Padres Artists Guild Santa Maria Orchid Society and other com-munity groups have their meetings But our main purpose and mission will always be to serve senior citizens With the larger facility wersquoll be able to do even more programming for active adults There will be tons of space for recreation and learning as we increase from two to six classrooms Our senior programs will grow and cover a more diverse range of topics The new classrooms will look and function like that at Allan Hancock Col-lege but each room is designed differently to enhance the current programs wersquoll be bringing to the new facility Arts music exercise education presentations and festivities have all been accounted for So yes the new OASIS Center will technically be a center that serves all members of the community but it has been designed around the needs of you our members Without you there would be no OASIS That brings me to the upcoming OASIS Spring Gala on March 24th This yearrsquos din-ner and live auction is dedicated to raising funds for the new facility It will be held at the Santa Maria Radisson from 5-8pm Tickets are $100 and include dinner As wersquore always looking for new items to auction if you or an acquaintance are willing to donate timeshares vacation homes season tickets tickets to local events auto-graphed memorabilia group dinner packages (or anything else valued $500 or more) please let us know Finally we want to keep you in the loop but wersquoll have to start removing you from all our contact lists (including Tradewinds) if you donrsquot renew your membership this month This is the final warning Renew by check credit card or cash You can do it by mail in person over the phone or preferably on our website Thank you

These meals are made primarily from scratch Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables are served to ensure that we influence good eating habits and provide the best nutrition possible The only canned fruits and vegetables used are pineapple mandarin oranges and tomato sauce The breads and pastas are whole grain and the rice we use is brown We are dedicated to providing healthy and good tasting foods to our clients We have quarterly menu conferences at which we take comments from our clients and use them to make improvements to the seasonal cycles If you have any input comments compliments or suggestions please give them to your staff contact so that they can bring the information to us at the next menu conference Thank you Enjoy

Dear Readers Welcome to this edition of the Tradewinds Newsletter As we ramp up our efforts to bring a new facility to Orcutt I want to make sure OASIS members are up to date on our future planned operations at the new center You will be hearing and reading a lot about the new OASIS Center being a ldquocommunity centerrdquo That is true Technically it will be a facility that serves all demographicshellip just like the current Luis OASIS Senior Center does today If you look at our calendar yoursquoll see that multiple youth sports leagues hold their meet-ings and sign-ups at our facility Two different churches have Sunday school and bible studies in our classrooms Itrsquos where the Orcutt Mineral Society Orcutt Gar-deners Club Los Padres Artists Guild Santa Maria Orchid Society and other com-munity groups have their meetings But our main purpose and mission will always be to serve senior citizens With the larger facility wersquoll be able to do even more programming for active adults There will be tons of space for recreation and learning as we increase from two to six classrooms Our senior programs will grow and cover a more diverse range of topics The new classrooms will look and function like that at Allan Hancock Col-lege but each room is designed differently to enhance the current programs wersquoll be bringing to the new facility Arts music exercise education presentations and festivities have all been accounted for So yes the new OASIS Center will technically be a center that serves all members of the community but it has been designed around the needs of you our members Without you there would be no OASIS That brings me to the upcoming OASIS Spring Gala on March 24th This yearrsquos din-ner and live auction is dedicated to raising funds for the new facility It will be held at the Santa Maria Radisson from 5-8pm Tickets are $100 and include dinner As wersquore always looking for new items to auction if you or an acquaintance are willing to donate timeshares vacation homes season tickets tickets to local events auto-graphed memorabilia group dinner packages (or anything else valued $500 or more) please let us know Finally we want to keep you in the loop but wersquoll have to start removing you from all our contact lists (including Tradewinds) if you donrsquot renew your membership this month This is the final warning Renew by check credit card or cash You can do it by mail in person over the phone or preferably on our website Thank you

These meals are made primarily from scratch Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables are served to ensure that we influence good eating habits and provide the best nutrition possible The only canned fruits and vegetables used are pineapple mandarin oranges and tomato sauce The breads and pastas are whole grain and the rice we use is brown We are dedicated to providing healthy and good tasting foods to our clients We have quarterly menu conferences at which we take comments from our clients and use them to make improvements to the seasonal cycles If you have any input comments compliments or suggestions please give them to your staff contact so that they can bring the information to us at the next menu conference Thank you Enjoy

These meals are made primarily from scratch Fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables are served to ensure that we influence good eating habits and provide the best nutrition possible The only canned fruits and vegetables used are pineapple mandarin oranges and tomato sauce The breads and pastas are whole grain and the rice we use is brown We are dedicated to providing healthy and good tasting foods to our clients We have quarterly menu conferences at which we take comments from our clients and use them to make improvements to the seasonal cycles If you have any input comments compliments or suggestions please give them to your staff contact so that they can bring the information to us at the next menu conference Thank you Enjoy
