BAPTISM
We welcome Avery Jean Schmidt and Hannah Margaret
Schmotzer in the Sacrament of Baptism. May the Light of
Christ, given in Baptism, shine on these little ones forever.
RCIA RITE OF SENDING
† On the First Sunday of Lent at the Noon Mass, we will cele-
brate the Rite of Sending with our RCIA Catechumens (those seeking Baptism) and Candidates (those seeking to complete their initiation in the Catholic Faith). In this Rite, their godparents and sponsors play a significant role by attesting to their readiness to begin preparing to receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. † The Catechumens are “sent” to the Bishop to celebrate the
Rite of Election at the Cathedral. Candidates are also sent to the Cathedral to be welcomed and recognized by the Bishop and to celebrate the Rite of Call to Continuing Conversion. † As a parish community we will walk the Lenten journey of re-
pentance and conversion together with our Catechumens and Candidates. Please continue to support them with your love and prayers.

2016 at 7 PM in the Parish Center to discuss the book, “Peace
Like a River” by Leif Enger. Young Reuben Land has little doubt
that miracles happen all around us, suspecting that his own fa-
ther is touched by God. When his older brother flees a controver-
sial murder charge, Reuben, along with his father and sister, set
off on a journey that will take them to the frozen Badlands of the
Dakotas. Enger’s novel is at once a heroic quest and a haunting
meditation on the possibility of miracles in the everyday world. All
are welcome to join us. MEN’S DISCUSSION AND PRAYER GROUP meets every second
Saturday in the teacher’s lounge of the Holy Trinity School from 8

Family Perspective
Notice that Jesus “was led by the Spirit into the wilderness”. What is a wilderness in your life to which the Holy Spirit is leading you this Lent? Perhaps there are uncharted areas in your marriage or family relationships which you have avoided? In the forty days of Lent, it is not a matter of us working on things but God working in us. Open your heart, trust the Spirit and spend this Lent in “your wilderness”.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE is 40days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion. The
40 days runs from Feb. 10th through March 20th. Please visit the website:
www.40daysforlife.com/cleveland for more details and information.
