It givers me immense pleasure in greeting you through fruits of Christ missionary journal. I wish that all of you rejoice in Christ in the second month of this year. In our life we have faith in Christ Jesus but situations turn against us and toss our faith just like a boat in a tormented sea, During these harships we have to remind ourselves of the incident in the Bible where Jesus was fast asleep in the ship during a storm when his disciples were afraid and turned to him for help. Only Christ Jesus can redeem us from all our critical situations.

Since I had to go to Mumbai for the first time for a ministry work on the 11th of January I wanted to give the salary to the misinaries a little earlier So I went to the bank, only on the way did I realize that all the money in the account was spent for the Christmas program. Apart from this three new missionaries who joined last month also had to receive their salary. I was shocked and could’nt think further, stopping my bike by the roaside I prayed earnestly to Jesus. Then I called my wife and told her to enquire in the bank about the available amount. She called me back and said that the balance amount in the bank was a little more than what I needed. My heart rejoiced in Jesus and I thanked him shedding tears of joy.

Yes my dear people, most of the time due to the crucial situation in our life we are struck with terror and left alone in a dark room. No matter in whatever language we read the Holy Bible, the Bible does not reveal the hidden truth to everyone. Only those who respect and act according to the words of the Bible find the real treasure. There was a believer called Uli-La in the 18th century He was a true Christian and followed all the principles of Jesus Christ and lived a holy and spiritual life. He has written many books. A few month before his death one of his friend asked him how be could lead such a spiritual and holy life in Jesus Christ. Uli-La replied that he acquired knowledge from the book written by Jacob Beeman. The book teachers us that true knowledge is in knowing and analyzing ourself wholly. The more we know about ourself the more we realize that we are nothing. Only then can we taste the fulfillment of Christ Jesus in our life. We do not have to look for the kingdom of God outside for it is within us. God lives as the light of our life and enlightens our soul. ‘His blood was shed, he was dead and risen and his spirit lives within us. This is the kingdom of God”.

One preacher used to tell if there are no hurdles in my spiritual life it means my life going in the wrong path. So I always wish to struggle and reach the goal is what he said. Once when the war was very critical Nepolean went among his soldiers to cheer them, while doing so he saw a soldier who was very meek and afraid to fight He asked him his name, the soldier replied Nepolean the great Nepolean shuddered with anger and said “Either change you name or fight”. Jesus spoke to them at once. “Courage!” he said “It is I Don’t be afraid” From this incident we realize that Jesus did’nt want to show him as a hero, but he wanted to know who among the disciples wanted to follow him. He was eager to know the person who


had the courage to ask him to teach the same. Alas but only Peter had the courage to ask Jesus as in Mathew 14:28-29. Then Peter spoke up. “Lord, if is really you, order me to come out on the water to you” “Come!” answered Jesus. So Peter got out of he boat and started walking on the water to Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind he was afraid and started to sink down in the water. “Save me. Lord! “he cried. When Peter followed Jesus he was able to walk but when he was startled by the worldly situation he began to sink and pleased to Jesus to save him Mathew 14:31 “At once Jesus reached out and grabbed hold of him and said “How little faith you love” Why did you doubt”.

Jesus knows that a baby trying to walk will fall. But the baby has to put his / her effort to walk once again. That is why when we fail to place our faith in Jesus, He comforts us over and over again and gives us one new chance that is the key to faith. John 14:12-14. Jesus asks us to do anything in his name He is ready to answer our prayers if we plead with true faith in our heart John 17:20 “I pray not only for them, but also for those who believe in me”. A new born babe doesn’t reach its full growth in one day. Every day it grows a little gaining energy from the food and knowledge from what it sees and hears. Similarly our faith does not grow in a single day. When we read the word of God daily and then sit in prayer and recollect the words and ponder on them our faith grows rapidly. Even if we slip once or twice when we call “Jesus save me”. He is always by our side to lift us up and comfort us in all situations.

“They shall even burn me. If that is God’s Wish let it happen” The beginning of reforms in Christian churches in England started with the translation of the Holy Bible in English. When the English Bible reached the hands of the people their eyes were opened. It was William Tindal who started the work of translating Bible in English. He was well versed in seven languages, hence he was selected for this Holy job.

Born in Gloster in the year 1495, and graduated from the Oxford and Cambridge Universities between 1510–1521. During this period Tindal realized that most of the Priest’s did not have ample knowledge about the Bible. So he wanted to translate the Bible in simple language that could be earily understood even by children. But he knew that the Roman Catholic church which was the supreme power will not grant him permission to do so. Even if it was not against law to translate the holy Bible form Latin to English, in his period seven people were burnt alive for teaching the God’s Prayer, Ten commandment and the

He realized that it was not possible to translate the Bible without the help of a priest. He seeked the help of the Bishop of London Dunsta Dunstal in 1523 But Bishop Dunstal hesitated to help because of the strict laws. So Tindal decided to move to Germany. Without the permission of the King he went to Wittenberg in Germany. Before reaching Germany he has secretly translated the New Testament in English. He reached Colone from Wittenburg and started printing the New Testament.

When the Catholic church became aware of Tindal’s printing work they tortured him. So Tindals escaped to worms from Colone along with his translation. Finally there he completed his printing and released the New Testament.

Inspite of the Kings orders the translated English New Testament reached England in 1528 Traders smuggled the Bible from Germany to England and it started reaching the hands of the people.

Bishop Dunstal tried to stop this by burning the copies of the New Testament. When Tindal came to know about this be said “By burning the New Testament they have done nothing new. They may even burn me to ashes. If that is God’s wish let it happen”.

Inspite of all these objections the new testament was reprinted and it reached every nook and corner of England. To stop this the catholic Bishops took an important decision. They purchased all the New Testament copies and burnt them. The traders who bought the New Testament to England earned a lot of money because all the books were purchased by the Bishops Tindal got ample money from the sales of the Bible and he started to reprint a modified version of the new Testament. This modified version was very useful to the people of England.

The King James Version which was released in England in 1611 is 90% of Tindals modified version. Tindal escaped from his enemies and continued his translation and wrote other books. Finally he was arrested and imprisoned in a fort in Brazil. After sixteen months of imprisonment in August 1536 he was tortured and burnt alive by the Roman Catholic church. Before his death Tindal prayed that the King of England should accept Jesus and his words.

Tindal is one of the matyr who gave his life to preach the truth. Every time we take the Holy Bible in our hands we should remember Tindal.

5. Brother Bayilal Sathai from Jorla Soka village was delivered from asthmo also sister Anitha was delivered from her ailings. Lets pray that they along with the entire village become believers of christ.
