My favorite season is…

By: Alex Underwood

Yahooo! I adore winter! The soft, powdery snow feels terrific on my bare face! I love

the rushing wind on my face as I plumet down the white hill on my round sled. My number

one favorite aspect about winter is Christmas! Winter has the most exciting and terrifying

events.

Snow! I love the soft, wet, powdery snow on my face. When we get the soft, wet snow

we usally get snow-days, which are the best! When my big brother, Jackson, and I go into the

friged air of the outdoors we usally eat cherry or Gatorade flavored snow cones. They’re

delicious and fresh. Wham! Thwack! A icy snow ball fight just erupted in my backyard! The

only vile thing about snow is SHOVELING! That is the only bad thing about the soft, powdery,

goodness, otherwise it’s all good aspects!

Woohooo! Sledding is heart racing! I love the wild wind whipping in my face as I shoot

down the devilish drop! I love when you abruptly stop and shoot off the sled like a eagle taking

flight. It’s so breath taking. I also love snowboarding on my sled, although I’m not very good. I

have a lot of ridiculous fun sledding with my best buds! Sledding is glorious!

My all time favorite thing about winter is CHRISTMAS! I adore the special cookies!

Christmas Eve is so much fun! Setting out the cookies for Santa. It’s so hard to fall asleep. I

always wake up bright and extremely early Christmas morning. Soon after, I wake Jackson.

After 20 min.or more we rush into our parents room and wake them quickly. Sometimes

they’re really slow toget out of bed. Thump! Thump! Thump! Me and Jack pound the steep

stairs. Mom and Dad follow like snails going up a steep ramp! As soon as the parents get

downstairs we slowly take everything out of are gigantic stokings, that are filled over their

enourmous top! Finally we tear open are mountainous presents. Soon the exciting day is over,

too soon.

WINTER! As you can see winter is the best! Snow is always “cool”. Sledding is

phenomenal. My fav thing about winter is CHRISTMAS! Winter is the best, by far.

Spring

By: Jocelyn Jiang

Spring is a charming, glamorous season filled with beauty and new beginnings. The smell

of fresh laundary consumes the air, with dazzling scenery that blooms all around us. Scan

through the forests and you’ll discover the wildness. The plants and animals have sprung back

to life with great enthusiasm. From the cold, snowy winter that melts into spring, everyone is

ready for this seasonal change.

Take a glance outside and you’ll think you’re in a dream! Cherry blossoms wake up to

the scorching, morning sunlight. Early in the morning, the chorus of birds awakens us with the

sharp sound of chirping. Animals roam the woods again, running upon the towering trees.

Daisies, Pansies, and hundreds more flowers begin taking over the wide, open gardens and

grassy fields. Everywhere you look is perfectly gorgeous!

During this blooming season, spending your time in the wild outdoors is and

extraordinary way to relax. Tending your garden and watering your plants is an amzing way to

consume your free time. Whether it’s soccer, basketball, or volleyball, playing sports and

enjoying the sunshine is an activity loved by many people. Feel the soft, mint green grass

gently prickling your feet. The trees have turned green, beautiful flowers are ready to bloom,

and baby birds are on their first flight. There’s so much you can do in the blazing sunshine!

The warm, sunny spring weather has come at last! The glorious, tickling sunshine lies on

our skin. The sky is painted bright, clear blue with a few clouds that hover above like giant

cotton balls. The golden sunlight warms the earth, and streams through the humongous glass

windows. The room is filled with beaming sunlight, a delightful sight

Spring is very comforting and welcoming. The season’s astonishing scenes, outdoor

activities, and delightful weather all makes spring such a thrilling season. From the sprouting

buds to the baby birds, spring is the season when the world seems alive.

Winter by Logan Kemprowski

My favorite season is winter because of all the beautiful, glistening, tempting, and

refreshing snow. You can play in the snow and hit people with white, fluffy snowballs.

Christmas is also in winter. There is also a huge variety of winter sports to choose from.

Winter is awesome as video games is to fifth grade boys. Those are huge reasons of why

winter is my favorite seasons.

A great part about winter is all the snow. It’s fluffy, white powder blows around at night.

You can throw snowballs and they make a funny smack sound when you hit someone’s face

with the fluffy, white balls of snow. You can go sledding too, across the icy slopes. You can

make a snowman with good packing snow. Good packing snow is wet and cold. You can make

snow angels as well. Snow is a giant bonus in winter. It’s like you beating a hard level in video

games only better.

There is an awesome holiday in winter… Christmas! It smells like pineneedles and great

food. You see lots of presents and you feel the smooth wrapping paper. Amazing things about

Christmas is that your family visits. You eat lots and lots of yummy foods like turkey or mashed

potatoes. You get presents that are wrapped in decorated, smooth wrapping paper. Christmas

is one of the best parts of winter.

There are also a lot of fun and competitive winter sports. It includes hockey, skiing,

snowboarding, sledding, and more! It feels so nice and relaxing when you run around on

smooth ice or fluffy snow. You can play the sports on a team or solo. It feels great when your

running around in winters cold, icy wind. Winter sports are amazing activities to do in the

winter, like football in summer.

Winter has such awesome holidays and activities. There are no responsibilities. No

raking leaves or watering flowers. Those are boring and it smells like dirt and leaves. You could

hang out when it’s Christmas like you do in a family vacation, or just like hanging out playing

video games. You can run around in the snow just like you would in the grass during Summer

but a lot fluffier. You can’t eat the grass but you can eat snow! You can feel the nice cool

breeze in the winter while playing winter sports like you feeling the hot sun while playing

summer sports. Winter is amazing from the breeze, to summer, and the sports. Winter is

awesome just like video games and summer.

Summer by Julian Yi

“Kalabunga!” Have you ever thought what to dress up for Summer? Or where to go for

Summer? Well freak out because Summer is my truly, favorite season! If I could describe

Summer. . . Summer with it‘s tasty cold mouth-watering goodness of ice-cream, and the hot

days when you can go to the min d-blowing spectacular pool… anyway! If you want some

crazy, hooked ideas for your trip to Summer, I’m the person you should ask. These are some of

the reasons why you and I should connect to Summer even more!

Ok so it’s obvious that we DEMAND our freedom so that’s why we have Summer

Vacation! Summer Vacation is three rocking months of excitement which is so magnificent!

Wonderful! Stunning! We travel to a lot of places during the Summer including hotels, our

cousin’s house, and way more! We’re still brainstorming of where to go for this exciting year.

My thought of where to go was Florida, Korea, California, Tennessee, or Georgia. Man,

it’s so hard to choose!

Another purpose for why I so love Summer is because the pools are going to open and

they’re going to start the party for Summer! I get to see my spectacular friends, having fun at

the pool, and when it’s break time, I feel like when the lifeguard whistles, I get the feeling like

it’s a race (in a good way). I sometimes like to play water basketball with my annoying brother,

it’s a fine game.

This is the most main and overriding reason why I love Summer so much. My mom and

dad’s birthday’s during the Summer! My mom’s birthday is on July and my dad’d birthday is on

June. At least it’s better then EVERY single New Year’s Day because we get so thrilled since we

get ready for the drinks and everything but a few hours later we just go to a deep sleep! But I

love my mom and dad and I hope this time I get them an actual present!

Summer is a really unique and interesting season. Filled with enjoyment, happiness,

relaxation, pleasure, and awesomeness. Summer is attractive because when the pools open,

or when it’s someones birthday, or when it’s Summer Vacation, or even on a special holiday, it

makes Summer awesome, I love Summer!

Spring By Bronx Dueno

Fall is my most admirable season of all I love the breeze, leaves and the chilly

tempetures. It falls at the same time as my birthday. It’s not to hot or cold during fall.

My first reason I love fall is my birthday is in it. I like when it’s fall and I gaze out the

window at night and see the leaves whirling around, like a tornado in Kansas.

My second reason I love fall is that I don’t need to wear a coat. I get furious wearing a

coat as much as a kids like brushing his teeth. Coats get in my way while I’m playing games or

sports, example I’m playing football and I go to throw the ball but the coat resist me from

throwing it. In fall it’s never to hot or cold it’s just the right temeture.

My third reason I love fall is that I’m able to spring into humunges piles of leaves, I get

as hypher as a monkey with 1,000,000,000 bannanas. I also get to play with my friends a lot in

the fall. It gets as hot a freshy cooked bag of popcorn in the summer and it gets to point that I

don’t want to go outside.

My fourth reason I love fall is Halloween. Halloween is tied with Christmas as my

favorite holiday. I love getting bags and bags of candy, staying up really late and playing with

my friends.

Fall gave the best moments in my life. It’s never too cold or hot. The leaves whirling

around are the most astonishing sight in the world. Fall is the most spectacular season there is.

Spring By Emily Nored

Have you ever strolled outside of your cozy house, exposed yourself to the wilderness,

and thought that it would be a flawless twenty-four hours? Well let me show you why that

perfect day is sometime in Spring. The light breeze ruffling your hair (if you have hair) and the

bright blue bluebells blooming and blossoming. This undoubtably makes spring the highest

ranked season of all four.

When it’s Winter or Autumn you have to lug on a buklky jacket to deal with the freezing

snow or the chilly air, maybe even a hat and gloves! For a thrilling experience outside you

should be able to stay in the open air long enough without your falanges becoming icecubes.

In summer the sun is forcing it’s way into your brain making you have only two choices, either

go back inside or melt into a glimmering puddle. That leaves you with only one more season

and that season is Spring. Spring brings pure delight to anyone who passes through it’s

presence.

For those people who would die for illuminating color Spring is the perfect way to

discover it. All throughout Spring vibrantly shaded flowers are bursting wide open for a breath

of fresh air. While doing this the brightness greets your eyes and gives your nose a present of

exhilarating scent.

Spring is the season made for growing, along with flowers, trees rise up like a king

touching the fluffy cottonballs in the sky. Trees produce shade, leaves, and sometimes fruit.

Mixing these ingredients together you could be sitting under a shady tree and eating a ripe,

juicy apple while the birds soar past. If that’s not a perfect day I don’t know what is.

Spring is an unbeatable combination of luscious color, subdued breeze, chilling shade

beconing to you, and satiny flower petals brushing against your epidermis. If Spring isn’t

paradise there is no paradise. I hope you reconsider and make the correct season your

favorite, Spring.

SPRING By: Maryam Asim

I don’t like winter’s flurries and windy gusts. I don’t like summer’s fiery, red sun. The one

season that I look forward to the most, is the one with the breezy air shoving your hair. It is

one that is always sunny and bright with a few rainy days. The one that is in between, like how

GoldieLocks says. The one that is called Spring.

I adore Spring because it is not too hot, like an alpaca’s fur, and not to cold like your

traped in an ice cube. It is just the right temperature, like GoldieLocks says. Also, there is no

need for a humungase jacket and feel like you are getting pulled down, when running, by a

piece of clothing. You can also see graceful flowers blooming on the trees, high in the sky. One

of my adored flowers to see and smell, in Spring, is called Cherry Blossoms. I look forward to

watching them sprout and blossom and smell all cherry like in Spring.

When it is Spring time, you don’t stay inside your little video game shell playing on your

phone or DS. You should be unleashed into the wilderness, roaming around like a tiger

searching for a midnight snack. Some people say it is to hot to play outside in Spring, but I like

to do many things such as riding my bike. Feel the windy air pushing your hair. The beautiful

streamers on your bike fighting with the breeze. If you are hot, make some homemade icy

drinks, called lemonade. The perfect drink to keep you hydrated and refreshed in the sun’s

boiling raise.

Just because I like Spring doesn’t mean I like EVERYTHING in Spring. I don’t adore the

pollen that flows in the air. Its like little baby insects that pollinate through your nose and

make you sneeze. Some people (like me) are allergic to pollen because, pollen are little dust

particles that come from flowers. I also don’t like the sworm of mosquitoes and bees. Its like

your in a war against something so small verses something so big. When I see a mosquitoe or a

bee, I scream with fear and run rapidly.

The sun forces me to smile for joy, in Spring. I like Spring because of all the overflowing

reasons. It’s like all the reasons were put in a pot and is now overflowing with reasons. I don’t

like being pushed over by winter’s hevy breeze. It’s like a soldier is attacking you. I don’t like

getting all sweaty by summer’s sun. I like that one season that is nice and cool, but warm at

the same time. It is called Spring.

Do you like Spring? Well I like spring. The three reasons I like spring are that it”s my

birthday in spring, the weather gets warmer in spring, and spring sports start.

The first reason I like spring is that it is my birthday in spring. My birthday is March 22. I

like when I have warm weather on my birthday!

The second reason is the weather gets warmer. You get to play outside without jackets.

You can wear shorts. When the weather is warm in spring the grass turns green and there is

lots of beautiful plants.

The last reason is spring sports starts. I get to start soccer practices and games. You can

play outside without feeling frigid cold.

In conclusion the three reasons that I like spring is My birthday is in spring, spring sports

start, and the weather is warm.

My Favorite Season

BY: Anshul Ganumpally

Really, no school again because of snow! Brr! It is cold! Winter is my most favorite

season. This season includes my most favorite activities. My favorite sport is basketball and my

basketball season begins in winter. Countless festivals take place in winter including Christmas.

A winter snowday is the key to have fun in winter. Winter is really the best and this part isn’t

even the beginning!

Yay, it is time for the basketball game! Boom Boom! Smack Smack! My most favorite

sport is basketball and I play it. Every week, there is one practice and one game. It is as fun as

going to the carnival! I love making friends with my teammates. I get use my basketball skills in

the games and my team wins! Basketball is one of my favorite reason to love winter.

Whoa, you got a new phone for Christmas? Many people look forward to the festivals in

winter. Christmas is one of the most famous festival. On Christmas, all the stores are closed,

no one has to do there jobs, and the next morning, there will be some presents next to the

fireplace. Most of the festivals take place in winter break. My second reason I like winter is

because most festivals take place in winter.

Let’s go down that hill on the sled! The best part of winter are the snow days! The snow

looks like blocks of white crumbs falling all the way from Heaven all over Virginia. It sounds

crunchy when I squeeze the snow and it feels like touching the furriest, coldest cat in the

world! Everytime it snows, usually school is closed. When that happens, I get to play in the

snow all day long. Every Christmas, I go ice skating in Reston Town center. When it snows, I go

sledding and have snowball fights with my friends. This is my final reason I admire winter!

Aw man, it’s spring! I hope I have deeply explained to you why I love winter. My

basketball season, the great festival/holidays, and last but not least, the snowdays. These are

the reasons I love winter. I love winter and it is the best season (in my opinion)!

Spring

By: Ferris Barghouty

Spring, spring, spring it’s one of four fantastic seasons, in my opinion it’s my favorite

season. I like spring because of the sports seasons opening, the warm weather, and, of course

spring break.

When the sports seasons start, its when most people become more active than in the

winter, also spring is time for new opportunities like learning how to ride your bike or how to

refill that one flat tire that’s been flat for over a year. In spring most sports start so you can go

join a team and try new sports like baseball, football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse , and tennis

One thing that I love about spring is the warm weather bouncing around your skin it’s

like a trampoline, also you can play outside without danger of heatstroke, frostbite, and

hypothermia but all you feel is a nice warm breeze. Also the warm weather brings out the

sounds of birds returning, the yelling of fishers saying “I got a big one,” and the smell of fresh

air and the sweet smell of spring smells like a your breathing in A mix of everything but the

bad stuff. The taste of sping tastes like your parents cooking chicken, steak, and other meats

on the grill when served make the best meal ever. The touch of spring is like A cuddly bunny

that just wont leave your warm hand.

My last reason for liking spring is, of course spring break. Spring break is a time for

family to meet, eat, and play around like dogs and a time to take a break from all those tests,

schoolwork, homework, etc. The best best thing is that spring break is a week and a half can

you belive it a week and a half!If you don’t already know it’s the last quarter of school when

you get back. So soon you will be celebrating the last day of school.

Now that I’ve listed three of the many reasons why I like spring which are the sports

seasons opening, the warm weather, and spring break and that is why I like spring. We are

lucky to have spring as a season, well, in my opinion.

Page 13: Favorite Season 2014-2015 Fifth Graders

Seasons by Demetrius Burns

My astonished season is summer and fall because summer is hot and fall has two

holidays in it.(Halloween/Thanksgiving)I’ll exsplain why I like these seasons later on in the

article. Summer and fall are pretty cool for my personality.

Summer is my first enjoyable season. Last summer, we went to the biggest cruse in

the world. This summer we were planning to go to Disney. Last last summer we went to a rv

trip to North Carolina.

Fall is second astonished season because last fall we got a poor amount of turkey for

Thanksgiving. Last fall I got a jackpot of candy for Halloween☺. This fall we were planning to

got to miami for Halloween.

Why do I like fall and summer? I like summer because it has nice hot weather. I also

like summer beacause it has perfect weather for the pool. I like fall because it has Halloween

in it. I also like fall because it has Thanksgiving.

These seasons are awesome!First summer. Second fall. Summer is cool for the

weather. Fall because it has two holidays in it. That’s why I love these seasons.

Page 14: Favorite Season 2014-2015 Fifth Graders

Summer by Aadi Srivastava

I admire an extraordinary season known as SUMMER!Summer is an extraordinary

season because, the climate is very balmy, there is no school, most of my family’s birthdays

are in summer. Various people admire summer beacause of these three brilliant causes. Have

you ever experienced such a fabulous season like summer?

When you step out of your house for a stroll in summer, you experience the birds

chirping and the fabulous and balmy climate. Therfore you have many advantages in this

season like, ice cream, swimming pool, outdoor sports/activities. This one reason I enjoy

summer.

“Yay! No school, summer vacation!” This is another reason many people love summer.

In summer many families can go to long vacations without worriying about education, children

love summer break beacause they can relax and give their brain a break from studies.

Various birthdays in my family are in summer, such as- my mom’s, my brother’s, my

grandpa’s, my birthday and last but not least Republic day. With infinite birthdays we have

endless parties.

Throught the journey through summer there are three remarkable things that

nobody’s brain will washout about this extraordinary season. The balmy climate, no school

and various festivals/birthdays.

My Favorite Season By Irina Stangu

My favorite season is summer. There are lots of reasons I adore summer, but there are

three that stand out. We have no school, phenomenal weather, and you can do plenty of

outdoor activities without turning into a popsicle. There are great things about every season,

but summer will always be my favorite; and here’s why.

The first reason summer is my favorite season is because students have no school. I know

that learning is a necessity, but life is much more facile when we don’t have to go to school

everyday. I feel sleep deprived on school days. In summer, I don’t have this difficulty. I can stay

up late and sleep in the following day. There is SO MUCH STRESS reduced when we don’t have

school. We don’t have to agonize about projects, book reports, and homework. We also have

time to do other activities, we can have fun during the day without having to think Oh, I have

to go home and do 20 different assignments, every other second. As vital as school is, I’m

gleeful that we have summer break, or my head would detonate.

The second reason I like summer is because it has superior weather to other seasons. Some

people might say it’s too scorching, but I think it’s substantial. Wearing coats and sweaters is

irritating; because I feel boiling indoors and frigid outdoors. In the summer you don’t have to

bother with your coat, hat, scarf, gloves, and boots every single time you leave the house. It is

habitually sunny and it’s almost never dreary. Winter is almost always dreary and it makes me

glum. Sure, the sun can be blinding sometimes, but that’s what sunglasses are for. You can

also go outside without wrapping up and still freezing.

The third and final reason summer is my favorite season is because you can do more

outdoor activities. Some people go outside in the winter, but I can’t. Unless it’s snowing I

remain inside, because I have a very low tolerance for gelid weather. Community pools are

only open in the late spring/ summer, not in the winter, fall, or the better part of spring. You

can also play outside more. You can play outside in other seasons too, but in the spring it rains,

and in the winter and fall it’s cold. I think it’s much more effortless to cool down then warm

up, so even though it’s hot, I like summer better.

All seasons have appreciable things about them. I like all seasons, but summer has always

been my favorite. Life is just easier and more pleasurable. While reading this you may have

thought, Wow, she really hates winter. But I don’t hate winter, I hate the cold, Winter has my

birthday AND Christmas, so I could never hate it.There are some people who loathe summer, I

could never comprehend how someone could think that. Even if you don’t like summer, I hope

this showed you some of the advantages of (in my opinion) the best season; SUMMER!

Page 16: Favorite Season 2014-2015 Fifth Graders

SPRING By: Cole Reemsnyder

Well well. Spring. My most honored season. Today I will tell you why it is. Three reasons

why is it was my first time in San Diego,Los Angoles, and Hollywood,in California way way far

away. Also there is how the tempature is nice and warm. Not to hot and not to cold. A nd last

but surley not least, school gets out soo soon!

MY FIRST TIME IN CALIFORNIA!

My first time in California was on spring break in 2015 march 27th

. Ive always wanted to

go and I finaly did! A awesome place there called midway from WWII a air craft carrier! A air

craft carrier is a large flat navy ship with a small bulding on it and it can be a run way! Also on

my way there I stoped in Texas.

NICE WEATHER!

In spring as we all know, it’s a nice mixture of warm and a little chilly in the mornings

sometimes. Also if you did’nt know I LOVE TO PLAY SPORTS! Spring has the most perfect

weather for sports of any kind exept swimming maybe. But now in spring I can do archery!

CLOSE TO SUMMER!

Now in spring we all get happy. Why? We know its close to summer! Then, no school!

Wamer is so much more fun to! teachers plan end year partys, fun, more fun, even more fun,

and MOST EVER FUN!

CONCLUSION

Well I sure love spring but ill go on forever! I now must say good bye to my most

honored season,SPRING. And I shall be sad until I have spring again.

Summer

By: Vainavi Lakshminarayanan

There are four seasons in a year;the white, snowy winter, the cool, breezy fall, the lovely,

blooming spring, and last but not least, the great welcoming summer. Summer is one of the

greatest parts of a year. You can enjoy exercising, going on vacation, and having endless fun

outside!

The blazing sun shoots out rays of warm, natural sunlight like a gun, hitting your opaque skin.

Leaves from numerous trees sit on top of branches, swaying this way and that like cheerful

people dancing. The green grass comforts the bare dirt as the trees comfort the grass. The

liberated children ,as loud as a pack of ravenous dogs crying out when they receive food, run

about enjoying themselves while they have fun with the others.

Besides the wonderful weather, you get great exercise. This is a perfect time to play outdoor

sports such as basketball, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and tennis. If your interests don’t lurk

around the sports area, than you can go to your local playground to run around and be active,

or ride your bike around for a while. If your not into any of that, then you can get on with

relaxing at the pool. On those boiling hot days, remember to enjoy icy cold ice cream and

sweet, refreshing lemonade!

Don’t you love the smooth, blue waves of the ocean, and the curious speckles of sand that

tickle your toes? All these things are at the enormous beach. You can also go hiking, fishing,

and camping at recreational areas, where you can hear birds chirping and leaves rustling in the

wind. The other choice is visiting your loving relatives. Eather way, you can have lots of fun on

vacation in the summer!

Summer is a marvelous time of year. It brings joy in many ways. These are the reasons why

summer is my favorite season.

Winter

By: Anousha Ahmed

“Brr!!” My favorite season is winter. Some people think winter is a cold and harsh. But I am

not one of those people I think winter is a season filled with millions of things to do! I am so

fond of the season winter because of the thousands of sports and activities that can only be

done in winter. Numerous people including me also enjoy the unique holidays that only accour

in winter. But what I mostly love about winter is snow days and every child probably agrees

with me about that! But all in all I believe winter is a season for all to enjoy!

Winter has millions of sports and activities, such as skiing, Ice skating, Tubing, and Snow

boarding! So despite the fact that its freezing outside you can stay healthy! Winter sports bring

joy to many because these sports are only seasonal, and you have to enjoy them while you

can. I especially love these sports because you wait one whole year for these spectacular

events!

Winter also has the most memorable holidays! Winter is full of exciting holidays such as,

Christmas, Hannuka, New years, and lots of others. These holidays are times where family’s

get together to give thanks, or celebrate the upcoming year! The holidays of winter are the

biggest part of winter, they are as important as the President of America! Without the winter

holidays, winter would fall apart.

But the biggest part in winter is snow, and snow equals snow-days! There are so many

things you can do in snow days. Like go Sledding, Tubing, and Snow boarding! Some people

think snow days are a waste of time. But to me snow days make people less stressed, relaxed,

and joyful! Snow days can make someone transform from a busy Bee to a calm Flamingo.

Winter is a season that all should appreciate! Because it is filled with extraordinary

sports, and activities that are worth waiting for one whole year! As well as thrilling holidays

that make everybody’s frown turn upside down! Winter is also a snow day filled season.

Winter is a one of a kind season that all enjoy it is a season that’s filled with white glittering

snow, and happy thoughts all around!

OH! WINTER!

By:Suhani Mair

If I were to choose a favorite season, I would choose…WINTER…obviously! There are many

reason why I love Winter, So here are few. Number 1, Happy birthday to me. My birthday is

January 17, which is in the winter. I get very jolly around that time! Number 2, Christmas!

Everybody loves Christmas! The warm, happy feeling, the decorations, Santa! It’s all good. Plus

we get Winter break for the holidays and Christmas. We get a break in the Winter! No school!

Yay! Christmas and Winter breaks. Number 3, SNOW! Which equals to no school because

snow falling everywhere! Enough said.

Reason number 1, Happy birthday to me! My birthday is on January 17, which is in the

Winter! I get awfully excited! I turn a year older, soon I’m going to be in a point where I can’t

turn a year older. Any ways, we always do fun things, I get presents, get to see friends and

family, birthday wishes from people, I’m a year older, and the feeling is very awesome. When

birthdays comes around people get super pumped, I get super pumped in the winter because

that’s when my birthday is!

December 21st

is when Winter begins. From there on there is a good chance of snow,

which leads to no school. Which is reason 2 of why I love Winter. As the forecast says it’s going

to snow, I am as exciting as a 7 year old at a candy shop! As so as the snow drops start falling

from the sky I play outside! I build snow mans, I go sledding, I make snow angels, and I play

snow ball fight! It’s really fun! All that white fluffy snow! In the summer you build stuff with

grainy sand but in the winter you build stuff with glistening snow! I also drink soothing hot

chocolate during Winters. Still as snow falls from the sky I am waiting for “Loudon County

Public Schools” to call that schools are closed. Waiting and waiting and waiting… Finally! They

call, Schools are closed! They call most times when it snows. I’d like to see that happen in

Spring or Fall. I scream, I jump, I squeal, I wake my sister up if it’s in the morning and I am very

very delighted that schools are closed and super excited to see more snow!

EEK! According to the song it’s the “Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!” The third

reason of why I love Winter, Christmas and the holidays! But mostly I’m excited for Christmas

because I celebrate it. The warm thoughts, happy feelings, the decorations all around, the

tempting to open presents, and Santa, I belive in him. Also, a feeling shoots me that Winter

break is coming soon!! No school for a good amount of long time!! Winter breaks are always

filled with joy and relaxation. So, Winter break and Christmas are amazing, glorious, and

stupendous! I absolutely love it!

All in all, I love all seasons but I like Winter a handful more. All the fantastic things in

winter just make me so pumped!Winter is filled with cozy blankets, sparkling snow, steaming

hot cocoa, and joyfulness all around! Winter is a very snow surprising season!

Spring

By: Justin Singh

My favorite season is fall (also known as Autumn) because fall is not scorching hot, like

the Sahara Desert but not too cold, like Antarctica. Instead its nice and warm for the outdoors.

In fall, if you are a monster with the outdoors like me, then you’ll most likey love fall. Fall

reminds me of a beautiful, sunny day with people all around playing. There are three main

reasons why I like fall.

The first reason why I admire fall is because it’s the best season for soccer. When my

dad was a kid he played travel soccer and was one of the best players on the field. Currently

my brother and I play travel soccer and we are one of the best or the best on the field. Soccer

is a great sport to exercise, get energy out, and to stay in shape. A huge reason why I like

soccer is because I get to use my speed almost all the time (I’m the fastest on my team) and

also because you have to have good foot work. That’s the first reason why I like fall.

The second reason why I enjoy fall is because there are a lot of holiday’s and my

birthday.

Some main holiday’s in fall are

-Columbus Day

-Halloween

-Veteran’s Day

-Thanksgiving

Out of these four holiday’s my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. My favorite holiday is

Thanksgiving because every year my family comes to my house to celebrate Thanksgiving and

have dinner. There’s also my birthday on October 3rd

and my moms birthday on Halloween.

That’s the second reason why I like fall.

The third and final reason I like fall is because the NHL (National Hockey League) season

starts. I am a huge Washington Capitals fan that will always stay up to date with the Capitals

news. I’m always excited every year waiting for that calendar to tick down to the final few days

before the NHL season starts. Although I don’t play hockey I find hockey a very exciting sport

to watch. My top three favorite players on the Capitals are Alex Ovechkin, Nicholas Backstrom,

and Tom Wilson. That’s the final reason why I like fall.

My favorite season is fall because it’s a perfect season for me to enjoy the gorgeous

weather. The weather outside is perfect for sports. Fall is also a season packed with a lot of

holiday’s. Fall also is right before winter and that’s when there’s a bunch of snow, Christmas,

and winter break. The biggest and most important rason why I like fall is because it’s my

birthday! My birthday is on October 3rd

and every year for my birthday my family and I go out

to eat. These are all the reasons why I love fall.
