Helpful informationHealth/Safety
The Fastnet Race is a serious world class offshore yacht race with risks. Number one
priority is safety so there is no need to risk someones life at this adventure. Anyway it‘s our
obligation to ask you about your health before the race.
Personal Equipment
We are happy to support you choosing the right equipment for the race. We have the
possibility to organize life jackets, clothing and any kind of personal equipment. A detailed
packing list will be supplied by 2SAIL.
Ambition
We are racing on a Class40 which means that there is a competitive fleet on the start. We
might not be able to compete against the best Class40 crews but the boat has proven to be
fast in different conditions and sails are new or in a very good shape! We want to push the
boat of course ☺
Helpful informationWhere to join the crew
Depending on your schedule we leave it open to you to either join us in Cherbourgh (via
Paris) or come to Portsmouth or Souhampton (via London). Please let us know your plans so
we can arrange our schedule to meet your needs.
Food, Drinks
In order to keep the preparation simple we will check the food for you. We closely work
together with Travellunch and Trek‘n Eat which are producing fresh vacuum packed food
that is ideal for this type of race and proven to be delicious. Nevertheless we will organize
fresh food as well directly before departure. Drinks will be a mix of water, beverages and
electrolytic additives. Of course some wine and beer will be on board.
Medical check
We are obliged to check your health and will send out a questionaire to check if you have
something that we need to know. First aid course is done by us required by the rules.
