Total employees upgrade their skills autonomously
CASE STUDY
The Challenge
Total’s IT service desk was being inundated with requests for help with
Office programs, and they knew writing and maintaining an internal
FAQ would be incredibly resource intensive.
Requirements
Filip Van de Vyver, HR Director, wanted a solution to take on the
burden of dealing with the constant stream of simple Office program
suite questions, particularly in regard to Excel.
The Solution
Total turned to the OASE platform as they were impressed with the
easy access to 1,000+ short instructional Microsoft Office videos.
Also, with regular communication, updates, and webinars, Filip believed
the platform would be perfect for ensuring employees did not relapse
into old habits. As Total were using Microsoft Office 2007, the OASE
platform was still right for them as it contains information from a whole
range of Office versions, which was great for the Total employees still
working on an older license.
Filip was also attracted by the transparent subscription setup, with no
hidden costs no matter how much the platform is used or to access new
videos and updates.

What Happened
Total signed a subscription for 650 users, with 350 accounts being
created in Belgium. Using the stats provided by the platform, admins
were able to track user activity. The analysis showed that even
experienced Microsoft Office users were using the videos to further
expand their knowledge.
While using OASE, Total went through a system upgrade, migrating
from Office 2007 to Office 2013. OASE was seen as the reliable
knowledge platform that allowed their employees to quickly innovate
at their own pace, according to their relevant skill level.
The Outcome
Today, the amount of Office related tickets the service desk receives
has drastically reduced, as Total employees can autonomously work
on expanding their Office knowledge. The feedback received from
users has been very positive. Thanks to OASE, they no longer need to
submit tickets and their questions are answered immediately. All they
need to do is log in and clearly state their question to find the right
instructional videos.
Total’s employees have used the OASE platform to evolve from
standard users into advanced users, helping them to get the most
out of all applications and improve business performance.

First aid for Proximus staff’s support questions
CASE STUDY
The Challenge
Digital innovations are being developed faster than ever to keep
up with evolving consumer behaviour. Proximus, the largest
telecommunications company in Belgium, wanted to safeguard
their leading position in the market.
Requirements
Iris De Coster, head of the Proximus’ Corporate University ICT school,
needed an easy to use and cost-effective solution that could boost the
digital skills of the individuals from their 12,000 strong workforce,
especially the customer service and internal operations departments
that could not attend a training session. She wanted a solution that users
could easily access so that they could undertake their learning at their
own pace, in any environment.
The Solution
Proximus decided to integrate OASE’s over 1,000 how-to videos into
their staff’s working environment because of the fact that, as a SaaS
product, OASE is expertly maintained and regularly updated by the
specialists at Xylos. This ensured that their employees are able to stay
on top of new changes to the Office 365 platform.
Another huge benefit of the OASE platform for Proximus was the
availability of all videos in Dutch and French, as this meant that everyone
across the business could take advantage of the platform. The team at
Proximus were also drawn to the fact that OASE is perfectly set up for

What Happened
During their switch to Office 365, every employee got the
opportunity to easily learn about their new working environment.
And Proximus staff members who had specific tasks, such as
SharePoint Administrators and a few hundred Digital Heroes,
were able to really stay up to speed with the latest technological
developments, expand their knowledge and ensure optimum usage
of the new suite of programs.
The Outcome
If an employee doesn’t know how to do something in the newest
version of Office, they can now easily find the answer on OASE,
which has helped to boost Proximus’ Office 365 licence ROI.
