General Claim Process and Timeline
1.) Insured contacts agent and/or insurance company following loss.2.) Property Supervisor assigns Insurance Adjustor.3.) Insurance Adjustor contacts Insured and schedules site visit.4.) Insurance Adjustor visits claim site to assess claim needs.5.) Insurance Adjustor assembles vendor team on-site. ( estimator/builder, emergency cleaning, housing services, etc. )6.) Insurance Adjustor settles claim and Proof of Loss sign off.7.) Insured retains builder to perform repair / reconstruction.8.) Builder determines that formal drawings are required and retains an Architect.9.) Architect and builder visit site.10.) Architect provides builder with proposal for services.11.) Builder notifies insured of architectural fees.12.) Insured notifies Insurance Adjustor or public adjustor of architectural fees.13.) Insurance Adjustor processes claim for architectural fees.14.) Architect performs review of uniform construction code to identify code upgrades and begins construction documents.15.) Architect notifies builder of code upgrades.16.) Builder notifies insured of code upgrades.17.) Insured notifies Insurance Adjustor or public adjuster of code upgrades.18.) Insurance Adjustor processes claim for code upgrades.19.) Architect generates necessary construction documents and provides to builders.20.) Builder applies for building permits.21.) Builder receives building permits and begins construction (Additional Living Expenses maybe necessary).22.) As with any claim unexpected or hidden conditions may warrant additional vendor team services.

FAS-DRS Proposed Claim Process and Timeline
1.) Insured contacts agent and/or insurance company following loss. 2.) Property Supervisor assigns Insurance Adjustor. 3.) Insurance Adjustor contacts Insured and schedules site visit. 4.) Insurance Adjustor visits claim site with ARCHITECT to assess claim needs and performs code upgrades reviews. 5.) Insurance Adjustor assembles vendor team on-site. ( estimator/builder, emergency cleaning, housing services, etc. ) 6.) Architect performs review of building code upgrades, begins construction documents, and notifies Insurance Adjustor. 7.) Architect generates necessary Construction Documents and provides deliverables to Insurance Adjustor. 8.) Insurance Adjustor settles claim and Proof of Loss sign off by providing insured with Contract Documents and buildingestimates. 9.) Builder or Insured applies for building permits. 10.) Builder receives building permits and begins construction ( Additional Living Expenses minimized by 1/3 of the time ). 11.) As with any claim unexpected or hidden conditions may warrant additional vendor team services.
