1. Floris Natuurlijke Bomen Short Description: Small, but quickly growing organic fruit tree nursery in

Noord-Braband with a wide variety of species. Floris Natuurlijk Bomen is

specialised in old apple varieties and also varieties with a very strong

resistance against diseases. The relations between both the upper and

underground fauna, flora and organisms are used to create an optimal

balance for the growth of trees. The farmers try to implement this balance

trough different techniques, like the introduction of a living wooded bank, an

amphibian pond and various green manure between the trees. The

biodiversity of the farm is also used to strengthen the natural resistance of

the fruit trees. The trees that are mainly grown are apple, peer, plum and

cherry trees, but also oaks, walnut trees, peach trees and different berry trees.

Floris Natuurlijk Bomen is positioned on a wonderful location and has a very

‘gezellige’ atmosphere

(as gooseberry, Nanking cherry, Siberian pea tree) do promise good harvests in

future times. In between, open spaces are created, both for making ponds and
