It is owned and operated by Doug and Linda Hartkopf and their three children. Linda Hartkopf directs the summer program. She holds a Master’s in Environmental Education and Bachelor’s in Animal Science with a concentration in dairy; and has farmed with her husband for many years. She is an avid supporter of agriculture through school programs and tours and works with a variety of state organizations. Campers will experience a rich program as Linda incorporates her educational teachings into her current programs. The result is a unique and rewarding experience for each camper. Her enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge will provide your child with an incredible camp experience. Camp Fee / Session: $295 Enrollment: Space is limited so enroll early. To register complete the attached form and return it with a $50 non-refundable deposit. Upon receipt, you will receive a confirmation letter and orientation package with health form. The balance and completed health form are due one week before the first day of camp. Fees include a camper T-shirt with farm logo and healthy snacks. Camper to staff ratio is 10:1.

Participate in hands-on science exploration

Build special Farm project

Make new friends and have fun!

Step back in time and discover a variety of farm activities

kids did in the 1800”s. Make a herbal salves from plants,

play traditional games, plow with a team of oxen or try

your hand at cooking a traditional meal. Campers

attending this session will also adopt a special farm

animal for the week. New and Old campers will be in awe

as the week progresses. The week closes with a special

event for families and friends. Ages: 7 - 12

Session Date: July 19 - 23

Let the farm be your inspiration! Use your creativity to

find things on the farm and turn them into art you can eat,

wear, write on or plant in! Make paper from vegetables,

turn wheat berries into pretzels or design an unique

planter. Campers attending this session have an oppor-

tunity to adopt their special farm animal and learn their

secrets too! Ages: 7 - 12

Critters and Crafters Down on the Farm ( Age 5—12 yrs old)

During the week, campers explore our animals, gardens

and fields through a variety of activities, games and

crafts. It is an ideal week for those who enjoy getting their

hands in the dirt! Highlight: caring for your own “adopted”

animal”. The week culminates as families join campers for

a parade of animals which they have worked with during

the week. Note: each session offers different activities.

III July 5 - 9 ( Reserved for campers ages 5 & 6 yrs)***

V August 16 –20 ( Incorporates a Junior Chef program)

Farm extravaganza is for the camper seeking an in depth

farming experience. Campers participate in an assortment of

farm and forest projects which teach them about sustainable

farming practices and approaches to local ecosystems. The

week incorporates team building and leadership activities

and campers gain a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem.

Highlight: optional overnight on Thursday.

Pioneer Week

Session Date: July 12 -16

Farm Explorer (Ages 14-16 yr olds)

Ideal for those campers not ready to leave Farm Camp! A

unique week filled with special projects , field trip and

activities to deepen your knowledge with the diversity agri-

culture has to offers. Campers still adopt their special farm

animal and can participate in the optional sleepover to

gain the FULL farm experience.
