Thankfully the dreaded bye rounds are done and dusted and we can now get back to fielding full teams for a change. I managed to escape relatively unscathed, while along the way reaching my highest overall ranking for the year, with 10 trades still up my sleeve. Speaking of trades, use them wisely over the coming rounds, as theyll become like gold as we enter the last third of the season.

I highlighted the emergence of Dayne Beams in one of my earlier raves this season, and hes gone from strength to strength since then. In fact, if we look at the leading scores in the league since Round 5 he comes out on top, amassing 45 more DT points than any other player averaging 123 per game. Hes cracked the ton in all but one of his eight games in this period, with his lowest return of 98 coming against cellar-dwellers Gold Coast in Round 10, while his 155 against Melbourne in Round 11 remains a season and career-high.

Hes now become one of the elite midfielders in the game, racking up 30 plus disposals in seven of these games to average 33 per match. He leads the competition for disposals ahead of Matthew Boyd and teammate Steele Sidebottom since Round 5, while also ranking No.1 for uncontested possessions and handball-receives. With oppositions sides turning their attention to Dane Swan and Scott Pendlebury, the likes of Beams and Sidebottom have had free reign in the midfield, which has duly seen their numbers go through the roof!

Looking at other leading scorers since Round 5, Bombers midfield duo Jobe Watson and Brent Stanton rank second and third respectively behind Beams with only one point separating those two, with Scott Thompson and Matthew Boyd rounding out the top-five.

BEAMS LIGHTS IT UP TRADE UP TARGETSI was right on the money yet again with my trade up targets from last round, with the group collectively averaging 105 DT points between them with only one player failing to crack 80 points which was Shane Mumford. This week Ive handpicked some targets from last weeks bye clubs, once again looking at those that have dropped in value the most.

At the top of this weeks list is Bryce Gibbs at his season-low price of $354,700 but is anyone game enough to take a punt? From a fantasy perspective, hes been crucified by his coach with the role hes been asked to play, averaging 82 points per match down from 98 at the same time in 2011. Another player worth mentioning is Leigh Montagna. Despite the consensus that hes had a poor year, he still ranks equal first at the club for points scored (96). After an indifferent start, his form of late has been eye-catching, averaging 107 points per match from his past four, which includes a season-high 127 in his most recent appearance against Adelaide in Round 12. He can rack up some massive scores when on song, so keep him in mind.

Other players to look closely at this week are Sam Mitchell and Sam Fisher who look to be decent picks at their current prices.

Adelaide put in one of its worst performances for the year last week against North Melbourne, finishing with season-lows for disposals and tackles. Its DT numbers took a massive hit as well, with its 1,308 points its second-worst return for the year. Only three players cracked the 20 disposal mark, led by ball-magnet Scott Thompson (28).
