You only need three tools: needle nose pliers, round nose pliers, and flush cutters.
Start with about 14 inches of wire, a rondelle, a briolette-and a necklace chain or ribbon. I’m using 28 gauge sterling silver wire, a 3.5mm smoky quartz rondelle and a 13mm beer quartz briolette.
Take your needle nose pliers and bend the end of the wire at an angle and put the briolette on the wire as shown below.
Bend the short end of the wire up and over the long end, cross them so that they form an ‘X’ shape. Take your needle nose pliers and bend the
long end of the wire straight up as shown.
With your needle nose pliers, hold the triangle portion above the top of the gemstone. Wrap the short end of the wire around the longer
end three times.
Snip off the small piece of wire left sticking out and press it in with your needle nose pliers so that no sharp edges are sticking out.
Slide your rondelle onto the wire.
Take the round nose pliers & grasp the wire as close to the rondelle as you can get. Make a loop by taking the wire and wrapping it
around one side of the round nose pliers as shown below-straighten the loop.
Grasp the loop w/the needle nose pliers and begin wrapping the wire down toward the top of the rondelle. Approximately 3-4 coils.
Wrap the wire around the rondelle once keeping tension on the wire, then continue to wrap underneath the rondelle…
Wrap wire the rest of the way down past the holes of the briolette then back up around the other side of the rondelle and a couple of
times below the loop.
Clip the remaining wire off and tuck the end in neatly with your needle nose pliers.
Thread your pendant on a chain or a silk cord…FINI
