In Conclusion

Safety campaigns such as Family Safety Week are an excellent

vehicle for driving key messages to our stakeholders on the

importance of child safety

Many topics have been addressed via Family Safety Week

Blind cord safety continues to be a priority within the SHSCT’s

Health Improvement Plan for Accident Prevention

More than just child safety… SHSCT’s Health Improvement Plan also focuses on accidents to

adults & older people.

Priorities:

• Choking (adults with a learning disability)

• Fire safety (electrical, cooking, prevention, detection, escape)

• Falls prevention (community based events, slipper exchanges,

safety literature, online falls directory
