How Billing Works All Pay By Semester Properties
Full academic year contract (Fall & Spring semesters)
On-campus housing billing is done each semester for
Fall, Spring & Summer (if applicable) … to the student’s account
Billed just like any other tuition and fees
Separate ledger entries “each semester” for Housing, Dining, and Parking
(if applicable)
Students / Parents can also request that billing be done
“in installments” - 4 Installment periods per semester
Fall: 1st payment done in late August
Spring: 1st payment done in early February
Summer: Separate application and separate billingFor More Billing Info:

Any resident who:
• is licensed to carry a concealed handgun• and chooses to bring the handgun into their residence hall room / apartment • must store the handgun and ammunition in a safe that has been rented or

within *30 days of being offered Admission to Texas A&M (1st round of assignments)
Guaranteed Housing: Applied after *30 days of being offered Admissions to
Texas A&M (2nd round of assignments)
Wait List: Applied for housing after we closed housing
Not guaranteed a space on campus (yet) but paid application fee, paid the deposit
(or requested deferral), and have signed a contract (3rd round of assignments)
Notify List: Did not pay to wait in line. Do not have a housing contract (offered after all Wait List students have been offered a space on camus)
For More Info on Wait List & Notify List:

To Check Your Housing Assignments
Check the assignments at: reslife.tamu.edu
Click on then click on
You will need your NetID/password to check this
Hall, Room, and Roommate (if applicable) will be listed
on the left hand side
If you CAN’T see a roommate, they may not have been
assigned yet (or might want their information kept private)
All Assignments Released via TAMU Email Account
reslife.tamu.edu
Did Not Get What You Wanted?
Assigned… but did NOT get your requested roommate?
Did you BOTH list “Roommate Over Hall” Option?
If NOT… then you may have been assigned separately
Assigned with my roommate… but we did NOT get in one of the halls we requested:
Roommate over hall means…who you live with is more important than where you live
Student with the LATEST housing priority date “drives” the housing assignment
We did NOT get assigned with our requested suitemates?
A&M does not guarantee suitemates
“Before move-in” appeals will be accepted until August 1st
Website: reslife.tamu.edu/onlineServices/hallchangeRequest
reslife.tamu.edu
Roommate Over Hall Expectations…
Roommate Over Hall does not work if:
You are a “new to housing” freshman student and your roommate request
is a “returning student” who already has an assignment
This would be unfair to other incoming students
You have “Guaranteed” (Temporary) or “Wait List” Housing
Based on when you applied for on-campus housing
Many Regent Scholars, Blinn TEAMers & Gateway
students may be in this category
reslife.tamu.edu
OK … Now What ? After the Appeals Process is Over
Room Changes (different room but same hall)
Hall Staff may start accepting these changes on:
ResHalls: Sunday, Aug 21rd (when the halls open)
Hall / Apartment Changes (move to a different hall / style of apartment)
We will start accepting requests on the 1st day of class – only done
online
We wait to give the students a better idea of what halls / rooms are
available
Roommate Changes …depends on who is moving (hall vs room
change)
We need to hear from the student who is moving
…not the parent or the roommate
reslife.tamu.edu
